Remember Me With Love

Remember me with love
Through all your heartache and pain
For I am very much alive
For we shall all meet again?

Fighting for my country
As proud as I could be
Fighting to improve life
Alas for me it couldn’t be

I was doing what I loved
With comrades all at hand
All looking out for one another
Alas my death it wasn’t planned

Please do not grieve for me
For I am still very much around
I will stand by you in your sorrow
In your thoughts I can be found

My spirit is very much alive
I will be watching over you
Giving you strength to recover
As I start my life anew

All I ask is for your thoughts
That my life was not in vain
For as a dedicated soldier
Through your prayers I will live again
