"Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people" I heard Pastor Greg Laurie say on the radio this morning. Greg lost his son a year ago in a car accident, and since then has shared his grief publicly with all of us. It strikes a chord with me as I have lost parents, grandparents cousins and they too now are more in my future than my past. Jesus told us how he was preparing a place for us to be with Him in heaven. We need to be preparing to make the trip. We can be studying all there is written in the Bible on the topic of heaven, and to be ready with our passport of belief in hand. We could be making the trip any moment or perhaps not for many years. The wonderful peace to have in this area is to be ready daily to make the glorious trip. The Bible tells us that daily we should confess our sins to Jesus who is our mediator between man and God, and that if we do this Jesus will be faithful to forgive us. Greg Laurie spoke of when his son was a little boy he was so full of questions, and daily he would say, "What dis?" and "What dat?" so Greg said when he gets to Heaven and sees his son , his first question will be "What's dis?" It will be with great joy that his son will explain and show his Dad around Heaven. If we focus on the preparation that Jesus is doing for all of us who are believers, we would be joy filled as the journey gets closer. Acceptance of death would be easier to bear if we believe we will have a full future with our loved ones waiting. Blessings to you.
