We loved your beats

We watched you grow
From a boy to a man
Often misunderstood
Hounded and shamed.
As with all strange things
That we don't understand
We took you apart
To get to your heart.

We stood in awe
As your spirit took flight
Free from this world.
You may never have known

Not just here below
