What would that picture look like?
A number of years ago my husband and I attended a seminar a Christian friend was giving, at one point she asked everyone to draw a picture of a place you would like to go, a safe place. I still have mine, I drew mountains and I wanted to go behind them, away from people, away from the crowd, that picture said a lot.
Today if you asked me to draw a picture of a place I’d like to go it would be a different. I would still draw mountains because I love them, but I would add a huge sun and I would want to be on top of the mountain not hiding away behind it.
To answer your question, the reason for the change in my life is simple. I have come to a place where God reigns in my life, my relationship with Christ is personal and I listen to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Simply put Christ said “come” and I have.
Together we draw the pictures of my life, they flow and change, interacting, touching the lives of others. Where in my first drawing I saw in myself the need to be separated from others, I now see myself standing on that mountain top, smiling from ear to ear; arms open wide, wondering where the next drawing will take me.
My challenge to you is to draw a picture of your own together with God.
