I awake out of a dream this morning and the bottom of my foot was cut with a gash in it. My first response was to look for what I cut my foot on but nothing was there. After cutting the skin off and applying some peroxide to it, it began to bubble letting me know that what was or would be affected by the cut was being taken care of inside as well as the outside.
Well as I inquired of God why this happened, he said “too many of my people are only half healed. They take care of the outside parts but their insides are corrupt, infested, and diseased. There have never been nor ever will exist two halves of God. The only thing relative to this in the Bible where two things existed is God and Satan, God and the World, Heaven and Hell, eternal life and damnation, and you are for me or against me, no man can serve two masters.
Half means one of two equal parts, a part. So if we are only half healed we only received one part of God but there remains a part we have not known yet. We are only being told about a half but the other half still remain a mystery. Many Christians believe but are walking around only with a belief. What am I saying? The Spirit only moved on them in time past prompting them to believe and accept Christ, but the Spirit is never accepted on the inside of man. Therefore the Spirit of God does not dwell with them. God is three parts but one, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The Christian cannot be found lacking of one or the other and if they do then they are only half way healed and delivered.
This is why they babble so much. They just talk too much. They tell all their secrets and others secrets too. You never know what they will say. I Timothy 6:20 says they are vain and profane and they always carry a one sided story and do it arrogantly. Because they have been only half healed they have a bold arrogant disregard of normal restraints. They make rash decisions, is contemptuous of the law, religion or decorum. Their story according to them is original so they are apt to be deceptive and adventurous. This means a lie will trickle in here and there. It is because of the enthusiasm associated with it that is excessively done. They are free with their ungodly matter repetitiously. But then too, as a baby rattle on and on until they learn to talk, so must the Christian. When they learn to do better then they should.
One of the attributes of a newborn is that they feed off of milk until they are able to contain in their bodies meat. The born again believer must come off of milk if they are ever to withstand. Their behavior is that of a child tender, learning. A newborn Christian has to be careful about the table they are eating at for many have ingested poison unaware. Babies tend to indulge with things inappropriately and must depend on a mother or other adults to guide their actions. This is only the beginning of a life, but they step until they step into adulthood.
Hal way is midway between two parts. Halfhearted means to lack heart, spirit, or interest. We cannot go half way but it is a must, your life eternally depends on your ability to go all the way to the end. The last part is just as important as the first part. If you start salvation, you also must finish it in the designated time. There is a life span of every human born and we cannot fall short of the full or complete thing in that lifetime.
Half heartedness causes the Christian to fall short of completion and they find themselves deceived. They find themselves in a back sliding state. They never mixed their faith with the Word, never made a significant change in their life or submitted their will to Jesus. They hold on to the dim grayish light rather than the light himself and accepted the half truth of the men. Mankind has a thing for half truths, statements that are only partially true. They are mingled with some truth and some falsehood with deliberate intent to deceive. People that find themselves believing a lie rather than the truth is shorting their life circuits.
God’s people are falling short everyday because they are only half healed. Jesus is there and waiting to heal man and make them whole. Yield yourself today, tomorrow is not promised.
