Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
and all the kings horses,
and all the kings men,
couldn't put Humpty back together
again.

As he lay on the sidewalk
broken and bruised,
he realized that his
friends had all suddenly cruised.

Dazed and bewildered,
Humpty started to
cry, embarrassed by the onlookers
that were all passing by.
Not a soul stopped to help him
as he struggled to rise,
looking down at the pieces of
his fragmented life.

The crowd had all left,
but one Man remained, His eyes
pleading with Humpty to forget
all of the shame. He said he
could identify
with all of the ridicule and pain,
for He once lived a life that consisted
of the same. He introduced himself
as "Jesus Christ", sent by God who had
heard Humpty's cry.

So, if you're a Humpty,
still lying on the ground,
you too need to call on this Man, Jesus,
and He'll come around.

He'll fix your broken pieces
better than new.
My friend, that's precisely
the reason
He died for you.
