I wake with YOU in the morning but YOU seldom say hi
And when I leave for work there is hardly ever a goodbye.
And when I have time to stop and focus on YOU.
That time seems so short, no matter what I do.
But still YOU love me, all day and all night.
And YOUR words tell me everything will be all right.
When I was so sick, and no doctor could cure me.
With a word from YOUR mouth, YOU set me free.
And when I was angry and yelled at YOU during
That storm & shower.
YOU stuck to my window a cross shaped flower.
Then that lightning bolt blew up my neighbors’ tree.
And three surrounding homes were damaged.
YOU protected my family & me.
I always said to be a minister I would have to hear directly from YOU.
Would it take lightning to hit a tree in front of my home, for me to find this to be true?
Well YOU have my attention now.
For this I am sure.
And thanks so much again, for giving me a cure.
I know some will say that it just happened that way.
So with them I will try extra hard not to be CROSS.
