A humble heart
prays for grace and truth
the time needed to become
a child you can
be proud of
Growing closer to you
and the promises
you so earnestly keep
brings a peace and joy
to the very depths
of my soul
Oh that I could
only stay
on your path
and cry out to you
when pain or frustration
comes quickly upon me
Teach me to cling
to your salvation
a new time, a good time
on the road
to bring you the glory
you so justly deserve
