There are some things you do that will never make a difference
And some that will change the world.
-------------------------------------------------
The hardest lesson I ever had to learn was love
And I failed the test miserably.
Can you ever forgive me?
Jesus ate with tax collectors, prostitutes and drunkards.
But I don't like the way you dress
And besides, you smoke.
The truth is I saw you that day,
Down at the docks and you were crying
And I knew I had to do something
So I mumbled a quick prayer and I left you
Sitting there alone, crying.
I didn't want to hear how your boyfriend dumped you
After you gave yourself to him like that.
I told you not to and you didn't listen to me.
I've tried to tell you so many things, but you never listen.
So I leave you alone with these words:
God loves you.
But you won't believe me.
You cannot know that God loves you
Because you do not know I love you.
You are not good enough for me
So you cannot be good enough for God.
If only you would change so I could love you
And tell you that God loves you to!
The truth is I saw you that day at the docks, crying
And I didn't want to go to you
Or touch your filthy hand
Or put my arm around your bare, shaking shoulders.
The hardest lesson I ever had to learn was love.
Can you ever forgive me?
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
