I remember when I was a child
Before the world got to me
I was happy & full of wonder, innocent & carefree.
My biggest worry then
Was to get my homework done & play when I was able
Now it’s my credit cards & putting food on the table.
It does not seem like so long ago but it really was
I just remember the goods times & the bad remain in a fuzz.
In the years that have pasted I’ve lost Family & Friends
You know those people in your life whose time has come to an end.
And as I think about them I feel sorrow & pain
And hope that someday we will all be together again.
Then we can catch up on what they missed though my life
I won’t tell of when I lost them; those days cut me deep like a knife.
And together we will be reunited once again
With our Savior JESUS & each other
Then this broken heart can mend…
