The moon does not produce its light;
The sun still spreads it rays by night.
Though the sun is out of sight
The moon can but reflect.
We do not produce our light.
Although the Son is out of sight
God's the one, true, perfect right
And we can but reflect.
Lord forgive us if we take
The glory for good steps we make.
Help us shy from the mistake
That You don't work in us.
