I want to write YOU a melody I want to praise YOU in song
There are many words in my head I don’t want to get this wrong.
I want the best I can offer because it is for YOU
I want it to ring out like a bell that’s song is true.
I want to sing of YOUR glory, I want to sing of YOUR grace
To praise the life YOU have given for us in this un-Holy place.
How YOU fought evil, like YOU will do again
How we can be by YOUR side when our time here comes to an end.
There are no words on this earth that can describe YOUR love
Maybe there are some up in Heaven above.
It’s that Thank YOU is too simple to give for all that YOU do
For a love that is so pure a love that is so true.
It is so clear to me now as I step away from earthly strife
Everything I am and I own are gifts from YOU all my life.
How can I praise YOU in song, when my gratitude can fill a book!
With some things too personal for all too look.
Well I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing and hope I’ll get it right
Writing down these words that wake me in the middle of the night.
Still so much I want to praise YOU like Mozart or something classical
But it keeps sounding more like Johnny Cash I’m at a standstill.
Just one great song from me to YOU even if no one else can hear it
Please JESUS let this come true it does not have to be an exhibit…
