My mind wanders please JESUS set me free
Sometimes it takes me where we don’t want to be.
I want to be more like YOU Dear LORD so what can I do?
When it’s hard for me to tell if the voices in my head are me or YOU.
The enemy works hard the enemy works fast
Please take them away let me be free at last.
I no longer want this anger I do not want this hate
Please free me my Savior JESUS before its too late.
I know that YOU’RE with me and maybe this is a test
To make me stronger in YOU my LORD, GOD knows what is best.
But the days when I’m tired or the days when I’m weak
Are the days when the enemy is at their peak!
And I give into the angry & I feel the hate
Even for a brief moment but I know that its too late.
Then sorrow surrounds me as I sink into its pit
Cause I know I have let YOU down again, I’m getting tired of it.
Still YOU are with me, right by my side
As this conflict goes on, too hard for me to hide.
I want to be more like YOU; I don’t want to let YOU down
When I picture YOUR face, I don’t want to see a frown.
I accept The HOLY SPIRIT in whatever I do
Please guide me & strengthen me, for I don’t want to disappoint YOU
