Congratulations to all the writers on the lists.

Jan, Jan, Jan--the detestable spot is yours this week.

And Kristen, quit hogging #12, would you?

Thanks for the comments you all left on my story this week. I really appreciate it.

Good job, Everyone! So many wonderful stories about my favorite season! Congratulations to all who placed.

And to all who didn't place, congratulations for entering yet again. Many will be (and have already been) blessed by your entry as well.

I just want to add my 2 cents about placing or not. Most of the time the stories I love best don't place. I don't know what that says about my ability to ever be a good judge but I am a reader so that counts for something!! I even pass some of them around to friends and they are just as surprised as me when a really good one does not win.

I have learned so much about myself by entering challenges that placing really is just tasty, yummy icing on the cake!!!

It's always quite different when a person is using the rating sheet and has to stick to the rating criteria rather than just reading for pleasure. I think most of the judges would probably say it's an eye opener.

Just a quick thing about at least one really excellent entry last week. It had to be disqualified because it had been previously written. I thought at the time that some people may be surprised when it didn't win, at least in its level, so even things like that can change the outcome.

[edited in] Need to clarify here that the author of that excellent, disqualified entry was notified. So to all those who may be feeling a little paranoid, if you didn't hear from me, then it wasn't you.

Love, Deb

What a pleasant surprise to see my name in the top 40 and in the top 15 for my level! I didn't 'care' this week... and am learning not to most of the time, so when I do place it's an especially nice surprise.

A BIG congrats to everyone!!!

Hugs,
Pamela

Thanks for those encouraging words. I am feeling a bit disappointed so they are good to hear.

BUT to all those who placed, CONGRATULATIONS! :clap :clap
AND keep on keeping on! God bless you all!

CONGRATS to all!

Thrilled to find my own name up there. Shocked would be a better word for it, since it was waaayyyy out of my comfort zone and I think I got something called a meter totally wrong???? Oh well, it was a good discipline - truth to that rumour I heard from Eliza.

Oh man, I was hoping it was me. I would like for my entry to be called excellent, even though it was disqualified.

ETA: :party
Congrats to all who placed (sorry forgot to add that after my joke). There were some really great entries.
