I love it! Siri provides us with all sorts of fun. Toni, my youngest (and probably last) is almost 2. I am not ready to leave the "baby in the house stage." Drooling on the leg, blanket on head, drawing on walls...I'm going to miss all of it. Here is a drawing that my 4 year-old did on his bedroom wall last week. His brilliant mother gave him crayons and a colouring book for quiet time.

Haha! No problem. With kids ranging in age from 2-13 I could give you a pile of things to look forward to from just about any stage. Seriously though, the 6 month to 4 year-old stage is definitely my favourite time. Little ones are soooo funny!

Our home has had most of the renovation inside and out done and we're just waiting on our builder to remove the 2 old clatter-banging air-conditioners that go through to the outer walls, fill in the holes and repair a broken front awning before we can do the final exterier painting. I'll upload the photos after that. Meanwhile, I think there are still some pics on my website and Facebook pages.
I'm feeling much better after my recent bout of sinusitis and chest infection and I have an appointment to see a specialist in March to see what he can do about these repeated sinus problems.

Chrissy, I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better. Reno's must be exhausting; I'm sure you'll be glad to see that all finished! My husband built out house and we are still finishing it 8 years later!

Good to know! I'm kind of partial to this artwork though.

Now how could you be scared of little ole me. Chrissy, is this house going to be permanant, or will they move you again in a year or so? I remember there for a while, every time you got settled in they gave your hubby another transfer. And Rachel, I hate to do it, (not really but I will say I hate it) but.... How can it take 8 years to build an out house..?

This is it. We bought in May 2013 and we planned X amount of renovations over 12 months and we're on target. It's a small place in a village resort for over 55's…mostly. The front acres have tourist cabins. Our street runs beside parkland on the banks of the Nepean River. It's our "home base" for the next 5 - 10 years so we can travel. You'll probably see us again in a year or 2 or 3…(hoping there's a marrage of a sweet friend in WA to add to the itinerary) From there we plan to hop over to Canada and the falls before taking a cruise up to the ice and finish somewhere like Ireland where we can travel across to England, Scotland and Wales returning home via Spain and Rome. Sounds good? Expensive but we'll get there…praying. Chrissy

What do you call an "out house" here it's a toilet in a tin shed. Chrissy

That's what it is here too. I actually have one! We're still roughing it.

When I was five years old my dad's side of the family went to Maine on a vacation and we stayed In cabins and had to use an outhouse ... My grandmother calls it a back house though.
