As Shann mentioned, you might have gotten some interesting interaction over at the Theology Board. I'll just do a quick "drive-by" (since I will have limited Internet access until late Sun.)
From your question, I assume you embrace either pre-mil, pre-trib or pre-mil, mid-trib eschatology. If you have not already, you should investigate other eschatologies, such as post-mil; pre-mil, post-trib; or a-mil (present-mil). If you find that one of these is more biblically sound, you won't have to worry about your question.
It's amazing to me how many people have no idea that eschatological views other than the one to which they are first introduced even exist and/or are unwilling to critically consider any view other that one or the one their pastor teaches--although I have not idea whether you are such a person or whether you have evaluated them all.
Anyway, just a suggestion.
