Greetings to all--even the Gremlins!
I have been snowed under with edits for SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE BLUE, and now I'm done, and my editor has finished, and my granddaughter-graphic artists have my completed manuscript to work on. This book is going to be very much like the first one except for the section about the church. I confess that I've begun to have "author's doubts," but in any case, I hope it will be out by October 2, when the first one was published. Some poems about my parents and siblings are extra special to me. A poem about my mom and her thoughts about my baby brother who died and one about my dad inviting me to share the dasher after he'd made ice cream make me cry every time I read them.
Chrissy, I so appreciate your getting my first book. I need to check in with Createspace to see why it doesn't show up that one was sold, but perhaps they already had one on hand where your husband ordered. I have seen it pop up in some strange places--even on text book lists for hundreds of dollars. Now that made me smile. I can't wait to see how your mum's book turns out.
Edy, I glad your husband had a special birthday, and I'm thankful with you for the safe births in your family. There is nothing sweeter than a precious baby. My new great grandbabies have brought so much joy along with them. My mother's mother died of toxemia when my mother was 12, and Mama never got over missing her best friend. I was always so sorry I never met her.
My dear Mariane, I hope you're feeling well.
I hope you all have a blessed weekend.
