Shann, I'm so sorry you've had such a hard time lately!

I am thanking God for His protection again. On the way to work on Thursday, there was an accident right in front of me. Two cars involved, both crossed multiple lanes of traffice, and one passed right in front of me... As in there were nothing between the car and me. I'm amazed more cars weren't involved. It was during rush hour on a major highway. And it was the second accident that happened right in front of me in the past year.... A bit crazy! I had a co-worker say she wants to make sure she's never driving near me. :)

Was the kitten okay?

A jackalope is an imaginary animal, looking like a jackrabbit with the antlers of an antelope on its head. It supposedly lives in the Southwest, and its cry sounds like a human baby crying. There are jokers who get a mounted jackrabbit head and stick a pair of antlers on it, in order to "prove" the existence of this creature.

Even I tried the zip line. :) Amy and Shann, come on over and try it out. :)

I tore a ligament in my foot yesterday, and I didn't do it falling off the zip line! I actually did it playing volleyball. It was pretty swollen and bruised this morning and I couldn't put any weight on it, so I went into emergency and they x-rayed it. Yay, not broken! I was worried I wouldn't be able to go swimming with the family next week. The doctor told me that it might take 6 weeks to heal, but it's starting to feel better already.

Dee Jay, yes believe it or not the kitten was okay. She was yowling up a storm, but then I would be too if a semi just hit me. Q didn't want to go to the hospital because he was worried about her, but the ambulance crew took care of her. They were super sweet and reassured me on the phone that they would take great care of both human and cat!

Rachel, sorry about your foot, but glad it's not too bad and is feeling better. Q tore his ACL, not doing anything athletic but by jumping in a mud puddle.

I've been feeling so cruddy and can't do anything but lie on couch. Also learned the insurance denied our final appeal so we have to come up with $1200 for Lyd's MRI> I wasn't appealing it based on medical necessity but because they gave approval number for another patient and a totally different procedure. Plus on the first appeal they didn't respond in 60 days like law mandates so they should have paid automatically. In both cases all they did is say the MRI proved it wasn't medically necessary. It looks like they didn't even address my reasons for appeal.

I'm off to bed.Maybe tomorrow will be better.

So is it? :?

Rachele I got as far as you hurting your ankle and started laughing... "Yep.. from falling off the zip line." But I stand corrected. Will be praying it heals quickly. Just remember girl, us older kids have to be more careful when we play.

Oh Bubbles? i wonder if she still lurks now and then. Last time she was here didn't say she was going to stop by more often.

Wow, Shann! I think your medical system would have me pulling out my hair! You should just move up to Canada. ;) I'm sorry you've been through such a nightmare lately.

I guess your right, Pup. Maybe I do need to grow up and be more careful. :D

Wow, Shann, you had quite a bit going on. Praise God you kids are alright.

You won't catch me on a zipline even if weren't in a wheelchair!

Just the normal happenings here..hmm, what can I report? :?:

I'm slowly working on my sci-fi novel. Maybe you guys have ideas for odd animals, plants. My Earthlings had crashed on an "alien" planet. There are humans - I'm trying to come up with customs, etc.

Back from Seattle; wiped out; have to work the next three nights and then my (online) class starts.

Had a relaxing week, though. Will post pics of the cutest niece in the world later.

I was blessed the other day..

The guy I normally work  with, has two sweet little girls. The older one has been my little friend for a few years now, (I may have spoken about her,the one that shouts my name from across the store) I call her Slug.

The youngest is Tinkerbell, I have picked her up a few times but she normally wants down right away to run around... and I do mean run. The other day they came in to the store, Slug right away wanting to play the video games on my Android Tablet. The younger was being... fussy. "Mom" needed something from her purse and asked if I would hold her for a second. Less than a second in my arms and that little monster turned into an angel. And the hug was sooooo sweet, Mom just had to have a picture.

Ahh look at Pup! I don't think I've ever seen such a tender sweet side of you. I may have to stop referring to you as my curmudgeonly friend.

Jay, what about a cat dog--not like the cartoon--hmm or maybe like the cartoon. Pup has aliens in his attic or basement or somewhere so he could ask them. I am glad to see you pop in and I got a great mental picture of you going down the zip line in your wheelchair!

Rachel, thanks for the congrats. I wrote that on Friday I usually wait until just an hour or two before the deadline. The insurance company is full of mean nasty people. In all of my hours on the phone with them I've only come across one who was civil. So now she is the only one I call. I wonder if she regrets giving me her name.

Hey Becky, you lurking? I hope things are going well with your G-pa.

Is it too early for bed?

WEEEE! WEEE WEE! Jay on a zipline. I could hang in a sling, like my hoyer sling (without the hole in the bottom)

Pup, cute pic. Yeah, tell me about your alien, Pup.
