I know I posted something similar about a year ago, but I've been comissioned to do another skit/play for the women's missions group at my church. It's for their annual missions luncheon. The theme is "Reflecting God's Love" and the theme verse is 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NASB): But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
So far, all I have is a woman who's looking into a "mirror" that has a picture of Vanna White in it instead of the actual mirror. The basic idea is that I'm going to have her first pretending she looks like Vanna, then a friend gives her a dose of reality. At that point, the first woman talks about how she'll NEVER look like Vanna. The second woman then turns that around to, while we may not be physically "beautiful" by the world's standards, spiritually, we are becoming more and more like Christ.
Are there ANY better ideas out there? Any ideas I can add to my own?? My other idea is something with the woman who used her hair to wipe Jesus' feet, but I'm not sure how to make that one fit the theme. If I did that, I'd probably fall back on Eli/Liza, my roving Biblical reporter, and have him/her interviewing her. Bleh. I've been putting this off and haven't had time because of the children's musical, and now they need it ASAP. HELP??!?
