We both have passwords protecting our accounts, it's just when I go online on a Wi-Fi connection, everybody else jumps aboard. Becky saw 20 different names on her computer when she tried to connect; these are the people who are latching on to our service.
I wonder if getting an n-router would help? I almost bought one, then found out that Becky could put me on her account, but then our neighbors discovered it and bumped us off.
What you need is a special password code JUST for your wi-fi. Otherwise, it's unsecured. Your computer's password is completely different, and doesn't make any difference. If your wi-fi is correctly covered with a password/code, no one else can get on just because you're on.
