Re: Pacific Coast Rest-StopGlad you have your vacation booked. Are you going to ride your trike to Portland? Because if you are and will let me take a spin on it, I might be able to overcome my panic attacks and go to the conference? The fudge is almost tempting enough, but add a trike ride and that might be better than Ativan, nah probably not but it's fun to fantasize.
![]() I still say you should ride it across the country stopping at FW houses to rest your weary legs. I'd even find the doghouses for you to stay in and do a marketing campaign! ![]() Shann

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-StopWell, I forgot to ask them to apply PTO to my standby shift on Saturday night and so after I got paid today I calculated the bills and we have a grand total of $4 to last us two weeks until I get paid again.
![]() ![]() I'm frustrated, but the reality is we're really blessed. We still have food, transportation, shelter, and very important things like internet access. ![]() ![]() I played tonight at the Friday night deal we sometimes go to. It was an acoustic set with just Pastor Dave on guitar/singing and me. Super fun to improvise and play with a good musician. I thought about going down to the beach and playing for money, too. ![]() Glad you had a good 30th, Allison. Hey Pup, are you going to try to make dairy-free fudge for me? Coconut milk should do it, I would think. I like the plain stuff, nice and chocolatey, no nuts or other contaminants. ![]() ![]() Okay, time for Pinteresting ideas for the food in my cupboard, which involves a lot of beans, and tomatoes, and pumpkin. Maybe not all in the same dish. ![]()
Re: Pacific Coast Rest-StopDairy free? Coconut Milk? That's almost as bad as the goat milk someone wanted me to try before. I don't know if it would work or not with the recipe. I guess I could try it... just for you.. but as coconut milk is thinner than cream it may turn out more like chocolate syrup than fudge, but I will look into it.
As for riding the trike to Portland, I don't think so, as it would take me a week to get there, and my vacation doesn't start until that weekend. If I could find someone with a truck to take me up there, that might be workable, and I could ride back. As for riding across country visiting as many FW folks as I could... maybe when I retire. Or when that rich relative I never knew about dies and leaves me a fortune. ![]() ....JesusPuppy (or just call me Pup)

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-StopPup, you can always try coconut cream. Its apparently the same as coconut milk but thicker.

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-StopThey do have a non-dairy cream, but it is mainly for coffee. I have used the flavored creamers that way and they work okay, somewhat, sort of. I will check and see what I can find.

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-StopThat's okay Shann, I am getting use to people not wanting to play with me. I am so terrible.. a dog wouldn't want to, even if you did wrap me in hamburger.

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-StopOh stop that! I love you and I think if we were to take a poll, you would rank right up there in the top ten most loved FW! I really do love you and I know that so many others do too. From the very beginning, both you and Tim became my two favorite guys on FW and that says a lot because I don't have a big trust in guys. Now that I have met Jay, there are 3 guys whom I've never seen but have a definite connection with and would likely trust you all.
But make me fudge too and I'll love you even more! ![]() Shann
