Pup, she last posted on Facebook on Monday. She did post last week i think it was about her fever and that the doctors decided it was a new symptom of her current illness and that this is her new "normal".

Something along those lines anyway. I'll text her later on when it's later in the day in her time zone and ask her how she's doing and let her know you're asking about her.

Thanks Kiddo.

I'm just not so literate with those thingys. I know I have her number, but still need to add it to my new cell-phone. Add that to the fact I dont have messaging on my phone...

One that doesn't have a key-pad for every letter in the alphabet. Besides I got it for emergency use only. You know.. like when I go for a long walk and want to call in sick from work. :tongue

Yeah ya, I know I can do texting but it cost more on me monthly fees. Yes I could have paid the extra $15 a month, but as no one text me and I don't either.. send text that is.. I figured what's the point.

you should have every letter if you have a key-pad at least numbered 2-9, unless you have one of those weird phones that doesn't have numbers at all

But you because you don't have a texting plan you don't text meaning no one else can text you either.... sooooo, if you got one and gave your number to people you like maybe they'd text you. :tongue

What? Then I would have to turn my phone on and recharge it all the time. Besides I tried that once, sending me number to others, it never worked.. still no one called or sent text. SO now, I just keep it off unless I need to make a call.. saves the battery.

Y'all must be uber busy or something...

After sleeping the rest of the night on Wednesday, I landed on a day shift schedule and so got more stuff done the last few days. We went to see Star Trek on Thursday, especially because our local theatre has $4 tickets on Tues/Thurs in the summer. It was really good. And yes, I was a Trekkie growing up, but primarily TNG. We watched the original series occasionally, but it wasn't very technically stunning. The new movies are very different, and I like the way they're reinventing the series. Apparently JJ Abrams is also going to be doing the next Star Wars movie. If this is the quality it's going to have, I *might* actually enjoy them. I'm definitely an Episode 4-6 purist.

Friday night we went to the pier and wandered around, but mostly hung out in the arcade. They have a roller coaster "ride" where you see the coaster on the screen but then your seats shake as if you were riding it. It's $2 to play, and we did three of them. Definitely a fun way to ride a coaster and not get motion sickness. Then we ate at an Italian place for dinner. So nice to have a date night. Not that we don't spend time together regularly (Doctor Who every night I'm home now), but to actually go out and spend a little money for someone else to make dinner is nice.

Saturday afternoon we walked around the botanical gardens and watched the birds and bees and squirrels, and smelled the roses. Then as we were on the way home, the hospital called and put me on standby. Third call. So I'm still stuck at home barely making money at 3am, debating whether I'll try to sleep before church this morning. I'm playing in service, and how much sleep I get will determine which services I play at. They're also having me sing one of the songs, which is cool - I'm almost never asked to sing, but the last time Alex & Stacy led worship they overheard me harmonizing with Stacy and I ended up singing that one. So it's really nice that they asked me to sing for this service. I love playing, of course, but I've also been singing since I was a year old - way longer than I've been playing violin.

Okay, enough of my boring life. Come out and play, will ya? Don't make me the only regular poster here.

Hi guys, thanks for asking about me. Sorry I haven't been here. I''m still not doing well. I thought I was starting to baseline a little but then have been worse the last few days with my fever even higher... it's getting out of the "low-grade" range and into regular fever in the evenings now and so I feel horrid and can't sleep. :? I had tons of medical tests done and saw or talked to a few specialists and no one can find anything to fix.

So there's not promise that this won't keep up just like this for the next 40+ years.... Which is especially frustrating because my functionality level just keeps dropping lower and lower. If I even go out of the house more than twice a week for a couple hours, it gets worse. I did make it to church the last two weeks in a row. I'm not able to keep up on anything at home either.... had to stop taking any even easy freelance editing or formatting jobs.

Leah, loved the pic of you and your hubby dressed up for the Faire! Andy and I would love that stuff if we were healthy enough. We finished the Doctor Whos and are waiting for season 7 to be out on Netflix and free on Amazon Prime. Then we watched Avatar: the Last AirBender and now are watching Bleak House. Those ones we watch on the same day so we can talk about them, but not together. Once in a while we watch Firefly together. We saw one tonight that was especially good.

Good to see everyone else here. I guess I should go find some protein... hard to eat enough when I'm so tired, which doesn't help.

Now I am bummed even more. I was so glad to hear you had a doctor at last that understood what was wrong with you, then you even find a guy that understands, now this... Will keep praying something gives.

Also praying it wont keep you from the conference.

Leah I can't believe that you would say such a thing about roller coasters. It is the motion sickness that makes it fun.

Really starting to worry about Shann now. It is totally unlike her not to come around.

Hey all thanks for worrying about me. I'm home from Florida. It was a nice vacation but a bit overwhelming. I had my first panic attack in public then had a hard time leaving hotel after that. Chris and kids went to beach. They all got burned. I would never be able to hang out on the beach because I am so fair skinned. I did go to the pool and played shuffleboard and made fun of the duckeys (Weird ducks that looked a lot like turkeys and walked lime turkeys but swam Like ducks.) We went out to dinner a couple of times and went to Universal to see Harry Potter world. That was cool. I wish I could have done more but it was nice.

Pup- Shann is (or was) on her trip to North Carolina then Florida. I'm not sure when she's supposed to get back unless she is already.

Amy- I kind of think there must be something going on with the fever other than it being a new normal and it's scary that your fever is getting so high. I'm guessing they tested you for Mono and Lyme disease and things like that? Honestly, if I were you I'd refuse that diagnosis that it's a new normal because it just doesn't seem "normal" despite the problems you already have. I just think you need to keep fighting and looking for answers. Just my thoughts and I hope I don't offend you.

I knew Shann had went traveling, I just figured she had come on before even when she was in the hospital....

I hope she at least remembered to take pictures... (Hint hint  )

Oh yeah, Bird, if you haven't seen Season 7 yet, you are going to like the ending. I like this new companion they have. Short, dark hair, and spunky.

I would have taken pictures but my kids wouldn't let me use their camera and my phone camera doesn't take good pictures, but I know there are some on FB Maybe I'll see if I can figure out a way to post them here. Don't hold your breath though!
