As I walked the dog todaY, i WAS SURPRISED TO SEE SOME BLOSSOMS ON A TREE IN THE BACKYARD AND SOME GREEN BUDS ON OTHERS POKING OUT TOO! sPRING IS HERE! tHERE HAVE BEEN BLOSSOMS DOWN IN THE (grr cap lock) valley for about a week, but not up on the hills, where it was still spitting snow earlier in the week! I also saw two bunnies hopping about, thankfully neither dog or cat spotted them in time to make their little hearts twitter but it is nice to be able to go out and walk in sandals and not have my hubby yell cuz I'm barefoot with a foot of snow on the ground. :)

Oh yeah HI! :clown

I'm breaking the ice here and saying hello. I live in a pecan orchard, and just this week the new leaves have sprouted up. I Need to take a picture, its our first summer out in the country, and it is really scenic.
God Bless,

It's green as summer grass here in Memphis. Flowers blooming all over the place. But we haven't had but a few nice spring days yet. Always rainy and chilly. :brrr

I call them nuts... like some others I know.

Hey Rich.. are you going to be harvesting this fall? I remember when my sister lived in southern Mo, she was in the middle of about a hundred trees. We picked up enough nuts to not only pay the bills but do all her Christmas shopping.

Hey Tomoral , we don't live very far from Memphis, probably a little over an hour. we were there last weekend. My wife knows a place that sells cake baking supplies. I think its called Mary Carter's or something like that. Our big slurge always for the trip and to go to Caraba's thts my wife's favorite place to eat In Memphis.

Have a great day.

Richard
God Bless,

I wish we were JesusPuppy. We don't own the orchard we just rent the house. The lady we rent from tells us there are going to harvest the Pea-cons but they never do. But the wife does a lot of pie baking, so we do get our share. I would venture to say we live around 30 trees. and the owners of the house once had a pecan business.
God Bless,
Rtodd (Rich)

Good morning from the beautiful Ottawa River valley. The sun is shining and I've already been on a 1 1/2 hour long walk with my husband and the toddler in the stroller. All the windows are open, and I am smiling. I hope you all are too!
