I wish you all could hear little Charles sing, "Hallelujah, Hallelujah" to a tune I'd never heard before. It must be something he learned at the Christian School he attends. His voice is so pure, so beautiful, he could easily sing in a boys' choir.
I love the Easter season even more than Christmas. I've always felt I spent much more time being excited about Easter Sunday than being heartbroken on Good Friday. To think that the God of creation would become flesh and take on the sins of all the world is way, way beyond my comprehension. Other religions demand works to gain us admission but our loving Savior provided it free! The only thing He asks is that we "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Nothing more; nothing less will assure us of heaven.
I had read in several places online that the next major doctrine of the church to be attacked will be the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Already, some churches are ignoring the resurrection but I wonder how they'll handle this cornerstone of our belief, "that If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9,10)
I pray for Rob Bell. He has considerable influence among the college age and young adults and his apostasy will cause considerable damage to the church. Many evangelical leaders are in touch with him, asking him to return to his faith.
"I long, O I long to be holy, conformed to His will and His Word.
I long to be gentle and Christ-like; I long to be just like my Lord."
