Prayer for a Move

Gill and I are hoping to move from the Midlands of England back to Yorkshire where we were brought up. We really want the Lord's will in all of this, even if he blocks it, so would you pray for this move for us please?

One of our daughters, Rachel, who lives in Cambridge is struggling with this move as it takes us near two of our children and we will be a little further away from her. Help!

Hey Colin,

Praying for you that God gives you and Gill His wisdom. I have used the simple prayer "Lord bless it of block it" many times. The only problem is when I really want something that I know God may not, I am leary to say it because it works. Oh my flesh.

Lord bless it or block this move for Colin and Gill. Thy will be done.

Thanks Mike for your concern, prayers and lovely words of encouragement. An update is that the situation with our daughter Rachel has been smoothed over.

Hi Colin, I grew up in the midlands (born in the meadows, Nottingham), but my mother was a Yorkshire lass and we spent a fair bit of time up there.

"Lord, make Your will clear to Colin and his wife and help all of the family to deal with the stress of change. And thank You Lord for their willing hearts to serve You and do Your will rather than just their own."

I agree with Mike, it is so much easier to seek God's will for someone else rather than fight our own flesh.
