I honestly can't believe how good products disappear from the market. The other week my floss holder broke, and I've been trying to find a new one. Nothing! All they have are these preloaded floss thingies, as if we needed a new excuse to fill the already overfilled landfills! These things are not recyclable and don't break down. What were they thinking?

Over Christmastime, one of the light bulbs burned out on one of my battery-powered candlesticks, and I can't find a replacement for that, either! This is crazy! It's like you can't find anything good anymore--proven products that have stood the test of time and are practical to boot.

I could go on, but I'm sure you all can relate. You try doing a search for light bulbs--you end up with a bazillion matches, and have to wade through them to find the one you need! Ridiculous! Where will it end?

Consumer merchandising? Building jobs in the research department trying to figure out what to do with all the toxic waste in the world..? Government taxation of the poor to create grants to make new land fills... like New York City.
