Allison, prayed for you a few days ago, and then got to dialoging with Shann about all that was going on with her and her now admit into the hospital. When I got on the boards earlier tonight to post a prayer request for her, I remembered about your surgery. I am so thankful you are doing well. When i read Shann's post to you amidst her pain, I just thought, "God is so good the way that He has designed us to care for one another." What a privilege it truly is to lift each other up in prayer to Him for His loving mercies to carry us through. I will be continuing to pray for you Allison and watching the boards for further updates of any kind to know how to better pray. Just think Allison, the surgery is over! I hope you can get back to a normal diet soon and enjoy some great food as well as walk with no pain in short order... Even though you are in the hospital, I hope you get an extra lot of Valentine's tomorrow. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone -- Blessings of His love, Alicia

I have been lifting you up in prayer Allison. Just think the dreaded surgery is over. I am glad it went well and will continue to pray for a speedy recovery, Because He Lives!

I'm HOME! I walked 150 feet with the walker and went up and down a couple of steps. But now for the next 8 days or so, I have to put up with this "active care pump" that squeezes your legs every few seconds. It's to prevent blood clots, so I know I need it, but it's still entirely annoying.

WOW! You actually had a total hip replacement? Things have changed since I had one ten years ago. Glad to hear this. :)

Oh, I so feel your discomfort! After my hysterectomy I got a bad bladder infection and they discharged me with a catheter -- I thought I was going to die! It felt like it was never going to end initially, but time actually went by pretty fast. I bet this next 8 days will be over with before you know it... That is what I am praying for anyway. Sounds like you are making some great progress with your waker too. Father, I just pray that Allison will sense your gentle presence right now just loving on her. Thank you for Your faithfulness Lord! Blessings on you Allison as Jesus watches over and cares for you.

Oh, when I was in the hospital after my c-sections and hyst, I had the leg cuffs - I LOVED them. I didn't know about them after having Eileen. They helped keep the swelling down in my feet, too. I couldn't get my shoes on after having Eileen lol.

They seem to be doing the opposite for me! My feet are all swollen with them, and the part of my legs that has it on isn't swolen. So... I don't know. I just know I"m only about half way through and I'm already ready to get rid of them! And I've been ready to get rid of them. lol And the representative from the company that makes the pumps says that people either love them or hate them. So I suppose we're in the opposite group. lol
