Hey Guys...mes been having HORRIBLE memory problems with mes computer....BUT, think I fixed it. Windows snmp file (which I think is mainly for routers that I no longer have) was taking ALL of my memory. Anyways, I disabled it and now am able to get onto Internet. BUT...if I disappear for awhile it's because of my computer!
K...just a quick hi and buy...gotta get outta here and go to work!
Oh....and HELLO Miss Sadie! Glad to see you here and look forward to another kooky misfit hanging out with us (there's strength in number you know).
Oh and Oh...one more thingy....Pupperoni...nah-ah! Can so call Allison "Short-stuff"...it's just tooooo gol darn cute, it is!
This is just pretty and soothing and refreshing
I've been absent due to my computer being fixed in Ohio; it needed new IR LED boards. My nurse was my hands, she brought her laptop.
I'll do google+ hangout with ya all. PM your emails to me.
Zoom chat is another good one - seems more stable.

Had a slow day today and didn't do much other than fill out papers, a few business calls, make dinner, and chill with Ryan. And a good 55 minute Wii workout. I've had two days of very poor sleep. Thankfully I am finally able to afford a chiropractor with my new insurance plan, so I will be seeing her later today. I know my pain isn't anything compared to those with fibro, but the last few days have given me a taste of what it might be like. My neck hurts like crazy, my lower back is super sensitive to touch, I can't get comfortable in any position, and sleeping just isn't working. Even Ryan trying to tickle my legs doesn't work - it hurts.
I have the next three nights scheduled...hopefully we won't have any of the ridiculousness that happened last week. I need to keep working. The tuition reimbursement policy basically states that they won't reimburse me until after I get my grades for the class. Which means I have to save up enough to put the money down to pay for the classes. Sigh. And so, I must work like crazy to save up to start my classes by June so they'll be done and graded before the end of the year. I'm also going to double check that doing the education route will be reimbursed - i.e. that I don't have to go the management route. It seems to me that education makes sense, though; they need educators in the hospital too.
Looks like they approved my time off request for the Faithwriters conference, so I'm going to figure out with Ryan what we'll plan to do. I think he'll be in the thick of doing his math class, so he may want to sit it out; however it's only 4 hours from Seattle and my family may be willing to meet us there, so it may be good for us to make the driving trip. My dad's cousin lives in Portland, and my sis-in-law went to school there and has friends in the area, so it's not like they wouldn't have other reasons to make the trip. It's about a 15 hour drive from here; doable in a day and a half.
Sigh. Gonna wind down and get ready for bed. I know it's not even chilly around here compared to some places, but strangely enough I'm feeling pretty cold. There's a hilarious video circulating about the way people in So Cal complain about the "cold" of winter: Los Angeles Overreacts to Cold Temperatures
My FW Profile
Well I can see why they might complain. I mean really, that 60 degree weather can be waaaaay chili. Makes me want to grab a sweater.
Sadie, welcome! Glad you popped over here. I'm from up north a little in Washington state. Did you hear that we're having the FaithWriter conference in Portland, Oregon this summer in June? I finally talked them into having it on our end of the U.S.!
Leah, I have a close friend who is a dulah and is wanting to complete the training to be a midwife and she says the same thing--that she'd never do it in the U.S.
Well, I saw the sleep specialist today and as usual, my sleep study showed lots of things that were horribly abnormal, but none of them fit the qualifications for something specific like narcolepsy. But he wants to try a stimulant medication to see if that will lessen the daytime sleepiness enough to at least fiddle with my sleep schedule and try to fix my Circadian Rhythm a little, so I'm not awake all night and sleeping all day. Right now if I fiddle with anything or try to sleep less, then it just makes it so I can't even drive safely. I'm a little worried that the med will raise my heart rate even more though, so we're waiting to get the okay from my cardiologist before I start it.
I guess by the end of the day it was only taking me like one minute to fall asleep during my naps. That's very abnormal and fast, and my sleepiness just got worse throughout the test rather than getting better as the day went on, like would be expected if it were just a Circadian Rhythm problem.
I really like my sleep doctor and am pleased with how he's actually listening to the issues and not steamrolling me with just standard stuff. But since I'm on Medicaid now I don't need Kaiser insurance anymore, but the problem is that if I don't have Kaiser then I don't have access to any of my doctors. So I'd have to start from scratch again finding all the specialist I need who will actually listen and care about my rare disease. I'm going to try once more tomorrow to find a way to stay with Kaiser without having to pay monthly premiums that Medicaid would pay if I went with a different insurance. Please pray I can find a way to keep my specialists. I actually hate Kaiser, but have spent the last five years switching doctors and finally have about four specialists that I'm pleased with.
I still don't have any interpreting work this term. Looks like for the first time I won't have any regular jobs for the next three months. I was looking forward to my next classes, but I have to admit I'm too tired to be too bummed. Maybe this will let me spend my little bit of energy on writing.
Plus it might make my schedule flexible enough that I might be able to go visit Andy sometime soon.
I actually entered the challenge for "flat" and have an idea for this one, so might get another written tomorrow or maybe can tweak it to fit the next topic after that.
In my prayers and in my heart, as always.
See why I don't mess with doctors? I think my biggest REAL fear is going to one, having them run all kinds of tests and have them tell me that I am..... scary thought... normal.
Yay, it looks like I do get to keep my doctors after all. Ironic, since a couple of years ago I badly wanted to get out of Kaiser, but now that I can, I don't want to anymore.
And Pup, if you're anything like me, there's no way doctors would ever find you close to normal. My body is so abnormal that I can't even have the normal rare diseases.
For me, though it sounds silly, I just don't want to go to doctors. They will tell me what's wrong, alright, but then what? I won't do drugs, even the corrective meds, so... I will know the correct term for what is wrong with me, and have to pay big bucks to know it, but still not do anything about it. I figure I already know it hurts, why do I need a doctor to tell me. I mean besides the fact that it helps him pay for his trip to the Bahamas.
Oooooo maybe I could have myself committed by telling people about the aliens that abducted me and how one of them looked a lot like Obama.
Hey, remember me? I'm abnormal too!
I'm doing 3 Bibles studies - Healkick group (with Amy n Andy), Challenged For Christ, and a group with muscular dystrophy. When can I work on my book!?

Leah, I'm glad you're going to get to come to the conference!
Amy, sorry you didn't get may answers, but I'm glad he's still trying.
For those that stick to this forum, I'd love some prayers. I posted on the prayer request forum, but the gist of it is that it's one month until surgery and I'm kind of freaking out. Again. But today was better.
Also, I apologize if it feels like all I ever do on here is post requests for myself, direct you away from your lovely rest stop, and the like, because it sometimes feels that way to me. :rolls eyes:
Maybe I'll have to share some of my works stories with you, or something. Like my stories of being hit on by ex-cons at work.
Isaiah 40:30-31 (NIV)
THANKS short-stuff! It really is cute and Pup forgets that even tho I post things that make me look like I'm blind (ring any bells Barb?) , I do have my 200+ reading glasses, so I could tell that you weren't like six feet tall or something.
And as for you Mr. Pupperoni...see I can so call her short-stuff.
Oh yah, Oh yeah, oh yah, oh yah, oh yah!
Well, I have had a busy week and will have an even busier weekend as my friends are having their committment/wedding ceremony so mes been running around like jiminy cricket on steroids.
Don't have time to catch up on posts yet, but I did see that Jaybird posted! YIPPEE...Hi-ya buddy!!
And, I did catch short-stuff's remark about being hit on by ex-cons while at work and it gave me a greaaaaaaaaaaaaat LOL!
Love you guys!
SMILE AND Beeee Happy!
