But it can be shocking and scary just how things we take for granted or have accepted into Christianity are of demonic origin. A must-read for all believers. You might have to Google it.

I have no doubt deejay that it is an interesting read will find and read and let you know. Thank you

Thank you for your reply....

May I ask why you think the organization is of New Age?

I'm thinking of calling the title....

Top 10 Issues Every Christian Should Know About The Childrens Evolutionary Movement.

Something along those lines....any thoughts?

Chontae,
I may have answered your question when I responded to Lynn, but let me state it again. When I initially read your first post and the follow-up, alarm bells began to ring in my head. The two terms, "Christian Children's School of Supernatural" and "Children's Evolutionary Movement New Age" seemed to have a common thread. I apologize for the knee-jerk reaction.

The term "supernatural" is one that has a dual meaning, depending on whose using it. One can never be too cautious when assessing the meaning.

As per your title, in my opinion, it is not specific enough. One could view the topic as a book about teaching children the theory of evolution. You might want to include the term "New Age."

Thank you Lillian,

You have helped me soooo much about the written word about the message to the audience although I knew what I was saying it didn't come out that way causing a bit of confusion. Thank you very much a lesson learnt

Also will use your tip in my article title.

Chontae, yes I have spoken to someone about my dreams and that is Jesus Christ. He is the only leader I have. I respect your philosophy and religion but I don't care to know anymore about my dreams than I already do.

Please forgive me for stepping into the discussion again, but I have this urge  to clear up what appears to be a misconception, similar to one I entertained early on. Please correct me Chontae if I'm wrong, but as I understand it, your "philosopy and religion" are no longer tied to your former business as a Clairvoyant Psychic.

It's my understanding that your Christians views are in sync with those of "like faith," with a similar biblical world view. Not sure if additional clarification is necessary, but the previous post sounds as if you might need to do so.

Also, please, do not let this prolonged discussion discourage you. You are truly on to something and with your background, I'm sure you will be able to bring much light in whatever article comes from your efforts.

Chontae, I just want to offer my opinion as well. If you believe God is calling you to do this, then you should do it. It's really only between you and God. Of course, I realize that is easier for me to say than it would be to do but try to keep that in your mind as this project proceeds.

I would be happy to help you a little bit free of charge. I would recommend getting a professional to help you edit it and smooth out the pieces. I think you'll find as you start writing it will just come to you. Like Shari said just go with it. That's what you will use editors and beta readers for, to figure out if this paragraph should be before this paragraph and so on.

I don't need to totally agree with what you are writing in order to help you smooth out awkward sentences. I may offer my opinion and say what I think or how the average reader may interpret a certain sentences to see if that is what you really meant to say.

My minister did his thesis for his doctorate on dreams. Basically what he said is God will use our dreams to talk to us as for many when they are asleep is the only time they let their guard or emotions down enough to be able to hear God's voice. In today's world, I'd be given a psych consult if I said I had heard God speaking directly to me. But that's just an aside.

What I gathered from your initial post is you need to find some places that will help you to start the writing process and there are tons of opportunities here to do just that. This thread is wonderful. It may not have had recent comments on it but the information is quite valuable. Here is the link viewforum.php?f=67 If you have any questions, Jan will answer them if she is available and she is an excellent teacher.

One of my friends wrote a booklet that has some great writing advice in it. Many people think the show don't tell only applies to fiction but there is great advice throughout this book that you will find helpful. http://www.sparrowsflight.net/Amys-books.htm

Lastly one of the things that is open to Gold members here are some writing courses. Here is a place that you can peruse the different topics and read mini-lessons on all kinds of topics
http://www.faithwriters.com/myaccount/u ... y-main.php

And then you also may want to check out this section too http://www.faithwriters.com/myaccount/F ... ourses.php

I hope this helps. If there is anything else I can do to help please let me know.

Thank you Shann, that is what I was looking for someone to lead me to information and give me advice on where to start with writing an article. To me the topic was irrelevant to share in my opinion but I did because I thought it may have helped others help me to get started in writing but instead veered me off.

Thank you for keeping me focussed on what needs to be done.

Appreciate you very much

Lillian,

To bring clarity I have been in Christ for years now my family and I are planted in a church. My old life I lived as an Ex Clairvoyant Psychic had my own email business made lots of money and raised my children in an Evolution Movement in New Age. The article I am writing is for a christian school of supernatural that teach foundational truths of the bible and also how to teach children to move in the gifts of the spirit such as prayer, prophecy, worship, tongues etc.

Does that bring clarity enough for you Lillian?

I am not discouraged this has been birthing for years the last lesson I had to learn before releasing the article was being persecuted, questioned, being discouraged from sharing my testimony, slandered etc by others in church because it will be believers in christ that will be the ones that will attack this article as I have already seen but what gives me hope for its birth is the lives that will be saved from it outside the church walls. So if there are no more questions I will move onto writing now that the original question I asked at the beginning before anyone new the topic has been given to me.

Blessings
Chontae

Good luck. I know that it got veered off a bit, I think originally the questions were asked to find out the best way to answer your question--to understand what type of help you were looking for. Like Shari said just go for it and start writing and if need be you can find someone who can help you smooth things out. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions you might have and I'll do my best to answer them or point you in the right direction. God will lead you so just listen to him.:-)

You may want to consider trying the writing challenge. I think it will help you a lot. I know I've learned how to write on topic and to write for a deadline. It has also helped me learn how to tighten up my writing because of the word limit. The topic this week is flat.

Again good luck on your project and enjoy it and feel free to ask advice if you need it.:-) Though it might not have felt like it, I do want to reassure you that I know all of the people who have commented and they have big hearts and only want what is best and to help you be the best writer possible. They may have misunderstood what you were asking and sometimes when people communicate via the written word things can be misunderstood because you can't hear the tone of voice or see facial expressions. Though this may have made you feel a tad defensive I think God can use this as a way to help you write your story. You will want to write what God lays on your heart and I think God can use this thread to show you how important it is even in nonfiction to show instead of tell. For example instead of saying He was hopping mad you can show the person and help them see the full picture with something like this: The blood rushed to his cheeks as the vein in his forehead pulsated. He shook the anger off, as he licked his lips and closed his eyes. "Dear God grant me wisdom and patience. Thank you for walking beside me on this difficult journey. Amen."

By writing this way, you're able to show some of the subtle nuances that would have been missed otherwise.

I hope this helps. Hugs and keep your chin up and your eyes on the Lord. (My mom used to say that all the time. It drove me nuts until she died and then I really missed hearing it all the time." :thumbs

Thanks Chontae,
Love your spirit! Praise God for His power to deliver. Yes, I got it after your third post, so I wasn't asking for myself. I look forward to reading the article once you've completed it. Keep us posted.

Also Chontae, I want to mention that Lillian is one of the Master writers here. I remember when she first joined and I left some constructive feedback on her challenge story. I was a tad nervous because I never know how someone will react to constructive criticism, but Lillian took it and ran with it and other constructive feedback. She may not have agreed with every suggestion but I could tell she thought about it and most likely prayed too. It's not always easy to share intimate thoughts with the world and if someone goes over it with red ink, it can get harder to share those stories bouncing about the brain. But what moved Lillian up the levels so quickly was her attitude about the feedback. She didn't just want the sweet fluff comments like this is a great story, but week after week she would ask for honest feedback.

I'm sharing this for two reasons--the first one is a writer has to be open to advice from others. Most writers have shown their work to family and friends who are most likely to say positive things, but when a constructive critique comes out it can sting at first. Therefore it's vital for sanity to know the feedback comes from a place of love and a desire to help the writer be the strongest writer that God allows.

The second reason for sharing this is to let you know that Lillian is a talented writer and when she leaved feedback it merits at least a thorough going over and contemplating her suggestions.

I know even though when she first started I would offer feedback and she applied what she agreed with and did quite well and now I'll see comments from her and I smile because I know she will offer me great advice all while encouraging me. Her comments come from a place of love. Most people here will come from a place of love.

All this to encourage you to check out the critique circle. It's one of my favorite places here. Gold and Platinum members are given one credit to put an article or chapters and ask for feedback. If you want more comments on a different story then you have to leave feedback for someone else, thus the circle part. You may need to pop into the Open Forum and leave a link to your piece to get more than one critique. But it is another awesome tool available to paid members.

Yep you're the one! I remember you thanking me for some of my feedback, adjusting and then zooming up the levels. In turn you have offered me some great feedback as well. I understand the  but since you follow God's lead most of the glory does go to Him but He also selected you because he has faith in you so the accolades belong to you as well.

Hi Chontae11 -

You've received a bunch of good advice from the generous folks here. GOD be praised.

The only thing that I'm inclined to add is that, please be sure that you're steadfastly and fully armored in our Lord because the subject article is going to expose some truths that, certainly, Satan doesn't want exposed. Of course, He never wants GOD'S truths exposed but there are certain topics that are more...
