Unfortunately, yes.
When I first started doing this task, I did it rather hit-and-miss, just going through my list and clicking on names to see if they had material that I could use. There were two problems with that--first, I tended to zero in on names that I recognized from the writing challenge. That meant the 'old-timers' got showcased disproportionately, and people who only submited to regular articles (not the writing challenge) hardly at all. Second, it was hard for me to remember whose profile page I'd visited, so I'd visit some frequently, and some not at all. It just wasn't a very efficient or fair way of doing it.
So now, although it takes a while to cycle through the entire alphabet, I feel as if it's the best way. I'll eventually visit the home pages of all FW500 members, and no one will get missed, and no one will be used too frequently.
