Hi Mike,

So we only want the links for the ptl.org contest to link to their home page? My instinct it to link certain words to pages on their site that pertain to that word. Such as linking Evangelism Tools to their "Share" page.

You are one step ahead of us. This is the first contest with contextual links and I tried to keep it as simple as possible. But you are correct. If you can find the appropriate page to link to on their site please do. Thanks You, Mike

I had the same question as Mari. Probably should have waited for her response before I posted everything last night.

I'm going to update my links as soon as I figure out what's gone wrong in my forum post. All links display just fine---until I get to the ones showing where I posted the article.

I am feeling so dumb. I've read all the above about creating links and still can't quite get it. With PTL I had all the links working well in my word document, but I see they didn't transfer to my forum entry.
This time I'm trying to do exactly as told, but in my document I have it looking like this
I had searched all over trying to <a href=" http://www.faithwriters.com/publishers-tour.php" > find a Christian Writer.</a> Then I found <a href=" http://www.faithwriters.com/index.php">FaithWriters</a> instead of reverting to this - find a Christian Writer and FaithWriters.
What am I doing wrong???

Hi Lois, You have the format perfect for our regular articles section. For this area, the forums, you need to do it like this.

1) [url=TheURLlinkHere]Wordforlinkhere[/url]

In this example I replace "TheURLlinkHere" with www.faithwriters.com.
I then replace "Wordforlinkhere" with FaithWriters.

2) Here is the live example
FaithWriters


This symbol can be typed out or it comes from the URL button above this screen. The best way to do it is to copy #1 above and paste it into your article where you want the link to go. Then fill in the URL and the word associated with it.

Please give a spelled out example of putting links to other sites on the bottom of the regular articles. I have tried it by the way you wrote and every other way I can think of. My urls will not go to the right place.

I noticed the others dont have it there either.

Hi Lynn,

The contest only asks that you place the links for the other post locations in the article posted in this forum.

But here is how you put a link in the regular articles if I am understanding your question correctly.

<a href="http://www.thewebsiteaddress.com"target="_blank">thewebsitename</a>

You would insert your own information in the areas underlined.
