Ahhhh ... Patty, are you P.J. Worthington?

You guys definitely keep us on our toes.

For those who are in a newer Challenge, don't worry. I'm going to mix things up. We'll have an old one and then a newer one, and keep it like that until the two halves meet.

This is TRULY one of the most exciting parts of being a FaithWriter! I have my story published way back in 2004, and it's just a real hoot to be able to say "I'm a published author!" Really great fun]

:typing2 Am I missing something - "first quarter of 2007" versus "story published way back in 2004? " Were there two hobbies and pastimes? In any event, 2007 is a quite a ways back.

That's okay. Since I joined in 2010, should one of my ECs get chosen, I don't mind being published posthumously. :D Just kidding, since I hope to have another book published within the next year, God willing.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL SOON-TO-BE PUBLISHED AUTHORS!!! :clap :clap

Debs going to be really busy, all those past books to mop up from years back and authors to chase up for their official agreement changes.

You are going to have to cut her a bit of slack.

 Oh, absolutely!

Colin, if you were referring to "within the next year" in my post, that's the deadline I've set for myself for MY next book. I recognize Deb's mammoth responsibilities, and the date of my departure should never be a factor. :P

Lillian, I wasn't particularly responding to your post but just making a general comment. Sorry if it appeared that way.

Thanks Colin. You actually brought tears to my eyes with your understanding.

Lillian, don't worry too much. We're doing one book from the old topics and one from the newer ones, so you may be published sooner than expected. The goal is to be publishing the books one every two months once we get this first one out.

"Sibling" rivalry? I feel like a kid who needs to go stand in the timeout corner.
Deb, I really do understand. No explanation needed. Where Colin's empathy stops,
mine begins. :D

Actually, that's a pretty good publication pace and rather ambitious. Hats off to you!

Love ya, Bro.Colin. :hugkiss

Awww Lillian, I wasn't upset by what you wrote. It's just the pressure is on a bit (from all directions), and Colin's understanding just happened to hit the waterworks nerve. Image

I'm actually really excited about things moving along and some plans I've got to lighten my load in other areas. So it's all good. :thumbs

Thanks Verna. It is very exciting. I've got to chase up Thorpe-Bowker here in Australia this afternoon to find out where my ISBNs are (I ordered them about two weeks ago and they are only supposed to take five working days to send out by email). Once I have them, we can start sending out the agreements.

Everything is falling into place though.

(And thanks, yes, I'm much better. Not a great start to the year, but believing the tail end of it will be GREAT!)

I am so happy to see that the books are being printed again. I empathize with the sentiments of many who have expressed themselves regarding the disappointment of not having the books printed. Seeing that this new book is on it's way is so encouraging. I hoped to see my name there...but it wasn't. That's ok, I see that mine is not until 2009 so I supposed I still have a long wait. Please keep publishing the books!

The first batch of release forms have gone out today, but there are still plenty more to go (so don't panic if you didn't receive yours).

And even if you aren't in this first book, stay tuned. There will probably be a space or two we will need to fill (due to some members being unreachable or choosing to opt out). So there may be a very special, extraordinary Challenge to find some newer writers to fill a spot or two. Keep your eyes open for more news on that in the weeks ahead.

:typing2 Deb,
I was just wondering how that works if you're sticking to a theme. Should you need additional articles, are they taken from the Hobbies/Pastime theme, but would not necessarily be among the top ten? If not, do you use articles from other themes?
