Today is 93º but feels like 98º and we have no air conditioning on so it is HOT.

I'm ready to jump into the pool except I'm home alone and I don't like getting into the pool when I'm alone. :|

Hi Cynthia I'm glad you took my advice. As I told Marina, we are a tad Wacky around here then she thought Tad Wacky would make a great character!

As for the discussion about hazel I fear to comment lest we have another debate like the Great yellow, orange, school bus pencil Debacle of 2012 but I thought Hazel eyes were eyes that change color. Lyd's eyes look different based on her mood. Sometimes they look blue with gold specks, sometimes a greenish color ans sometimes a light brown with cold and blue specks. But if her eyes look deep brown watch out cuz those are I'm in a snit about something color!

Shann, thanks it has been wonderful. I'm enjoyingn the conversations here as well. I hadn't chimed in with my two cents yet but I thought hazel eyes were something of a cross between a green and brown eye. Then again I've never given it much thought because my parents and sisters have brown eyes and mine are bright blue. My kids ended up with the bright blue eyes as well.

Kate, thank you for the welcome. I'm making it alright here, am really getting to enjoy the folks and conversations. :D

As the door swings open, Tad Wacky throws his brown (or was it hazel?) derby on the top of the burnished coat rack and heads for the pool, to keep Becky company. He knows how much she hates to swim alone. However, as he gets the pool side, he only sees a bright red lobster reflecting in the cool, clear water so he decides to make a HOLLA at LEAH and JAYBIRD since Marina snubbed them in her last visit to the Pacific Coast Rest Stop. Gee, Tad thought, Marina is just such a dangerous individual....he remembered seeing her running with sharp pointed objects and crossing her eyes, even though her own mother told her that her eyes would stay that that...if she didn't manage to poke them out first.

Tad tosses out a small T-bone to the Pup and realizes he can't remember all the other folks he should be saying hi to right now, so he decides to get out of Dodge before they all come after him. It's off to the pyramids soon.

Lord, help me each day to affect someone within my sphere of influence for Your plans and purposes.

Ah "Jaybird" I may have made an error. I didn't know if I should refer to "JesusPuppy" by that name or not. So I went and looked at his profile and I thought it said there that his name is Ed. Please remember I'm a natural blonde (not bottle job here) and I could have very likely made a mistake. If I did, IT'S THE HAIRS FAULT :rolling

OOoooo blondes... thats almost as good as short peoples. Then too there are more blonde jokes to choose from. This could get interesting.

As for me name, just call me Pup.

Oh Pup! The fun we could have on here  I've learned so many blonde jokes it's unreal. When I was young someone would pop one off thinking they would irritate me and I would laugh so hard and then tell them another one. :rolling

Oh deear, just when I worry about how I will cope with all my children leaving the nest, all I have to do is come here and remember what it was like when all three lived in the house together. BTW M was 17, Q was11 and Lyd would have been 7 :tongue :tongue

lol ... when my brothers and I were all living "in the house" together was years ago. My brothers were 16, 17 and I was 11 or 12. Eventually, because my brothers couldn't get along, my dad turned his outside shed into a bed room for my brother and he moved out there. So the last time we were all living at home together my brothers were 23 and 24 and I was 18.
