Tiara, thanks for popping in!

Congrats for Amy's EC Challenge! Please provide link and Shann's too. Thanks!

Shann, Amy, I'm wondering if I can turn my YA novel into 2 books; seems like it could (perhaps, you'll need to read more - no hurry).

Hey all! We made it safe and sound so thanks for all your prayers. Seattle is so beautiful though I was so tired I didn't get to see much. We had a hard time once we got into Seattle. But I will have to tell it another time. So glad to be here, amazing weather! Too bad I wont see any of you this time.

Love reading your updates I'm just on the phone so it's tough typing a lot. Congrats Amy!!

Hey Jay here is the link for Amy's EC. I didn't enter this week, but on the boards now I'm in level 3 A Mother's Son (I don't want to give you exact link because the all clear hasn't been given yet) Here's Amy's [url=http://www.faithwriters.com/wc-article-level4-previous.php?id=42590]Monster Behind Me{/url]

Hi Tiara, I'm so glad to see you back on the boards and am delighted to hear you are writing again. Also good for you for joining gym. I lost 60 pounds in 3 months by eating healthy and walking 2 miles a day. Then winter came and it was hard to walk in gold. I didn't start gaining back any of it though until I started by rice cake kick. I have this horrible habit of eating just one food. I've been on the rice cakes for weeks. I keep saying I'm going to go back to eating balanced and healthy because I'd like to lose another 80 pounds by Emily's wedding in Oct. but that probably isn't a realistic or healthy weight so I'm shooting for another 35 (well 40 now that I gained 5 pounds back)

Kara so happy to see you are safe and hopefully not too tired. Now when were you stopping by to paint and help with the floors? Have a good time.

Hi Seema It's so nice to know you are there in the background watching over us.

Oh Jay about the book, sorry I put it aside after giving you that one feedback on the first bit and forgot. I think I forgot one of Pup's too. I'm sorry guys! I think turning it into two books would be good because it's pretty long for a YA

Hi guys, I've been doing pretty well at using my computer time for mostly just writing and editing stuff, so I'm proud to have been wasting less time. But this thread isn't a waste--it's a friendship builder--so I'll try to pop in more often.

I have my booklet on show vs. tell pretty much done. Just one more page or so and then going back to fix up some of the worksheet pages. Shann is helping me come up with bad example sentences. It's harder than one would think! hehe

I got one of my PeP illustrators to do a front cover for the book. It looks really cool. I want to tweek a couple more things but then I'll post it here. I'm doing, "Bring Your Writing to Life" for the title but I can't decide on the subtitle. "show; don't tell" seems informal but I think it's important to include since that's what it's a bout and since that's a topic a lot of people struggle with. Which do you like best for the sub-title?

A Guide to Writing in the "Show; Don't Tell" Style
A Show vs. Tell Writing Guide

Thanks for the congrats on my challenge. That's a story I've had in my head for ages but was nervous to write because of the topic and I wasn't sure the allegory would work... and I didn't want it to be disrespectful to people who are in domestic violence situations.

Kate, praying your presentation goes well.

Kara, glad you're in this part of the world safely. Still wish I could see you but right now even ten minutes drives can put me in quite a bit of pain.

Tiara, glad to see you here and excited about writing again. What is floristary? Is that learning about what a florist does? Cool your research is going well.

Hi, everyone else! :D

I better get to bed. I've been being bad at staying up most of the night to work on writing stuff. Then I sleep half the day, but tomorrow I have to work so will need to get up at 10 and the house will probably be noisy well before that since people have places to go this morning.

Hi Guys! Remember me? Just been busy with some heavy stuff with my peeps that I do in-home care for. Surgeries etc... but they are all sweethearts. Coming on here and seeing what's up with y'all is such a joy and refreshes my heart! Also encourgages me when I see those of you with struggles, persevering because of our kinship with our Lord and Savior.

K...gotta go for now, but will make a hardy attempt to catch up this weekend on all of the posts I've missed.

Until later.....Luv, Hugs and Prayers

Hi all! Holly it was nice to see you pop in.

Have I missed it but it seems like Becky hasn't been on for a couple of days and she is usually pretty faithful. But since Pup isn't here for her to harass, maybe she is just thinking of good comebacks for the next time she gets on.

I've been up since 2 (my time not yours though I fell asleep about 2 your time) We took Q and his girlfriend out to dinner to celebrate his graduation and for getting into Duke. My in-laws came too. M and Andy couldn't make it but it was nice to see most everybody. The restaurant was really good. It's different then anything we have around here. For one thing it uses seasonal fresh ingredients! We mostly have Burger King and McD and so it's nice to go to a place that isn't a chain. They have big portions and encourage sharing. It was nice for all 7 of us the bill was under $130

Okay going to go back and watch TV. I need to brace myself for the weekend. I think there is going to be a problem with the church newsletter this month. One of the contributors brought politics and equal rights and other newsworthy events. I'm really glad that the minister has final say about what goes in it and not I.

Shann, thanks for the story input!

Holly nice to see you - nice pic!

Amy, I sorta had a dream about your EC entry - you were in alot of pain and the only way it went away was when I touched the palm of your hand. Weird, huh?

I'm trying to decide where to split my YA novel - a place maybe with a teaser - found a good ending spot, but it leaves 100 pages for the 2nd book.

Hi Spunky glad to see me young Terrorizer still about.

Well me days off have come and gone, AND..... I got sunburned.

OK just on my face but still. The moving all done and nice days to play in, I went riding me bike in the sunshine. It has been a while but I didn't feel too bad after. I did get toe cramps once while riding, but other than that it was a blast. Sure wish I had some one to ride around with me but oh well, life is like that.

If you ride across the country I'll go riding with you Pup man though I don't know if you could tolerate the weird weather last week there was a light frost and today it was 90 out. I feel like I am melting today.

Our alarm clock, this morning, was lightening and thunder, followed by torrential down pours. Yesterday and Saturday were both lovely and hopefully later today it will be nice again. Thanks for the prayers for my speaking on Saturday. It flowed and they laughed in the right places. Only Papa knows the impact on their hearts. I was asked to come back and speak again at their Sunday School Teachers Meeting next month so that is encouraging. We were treated to a concert by the children and a lovely simple lunch with great fellowship.
Pup, so glad you could ride in the sunshine hope your burn turns to tan. Ian and I are getting quite brown. We had breakfast outside yesterday, it was lovely. 8)
Blessings, Kathleen

Hi, everyone! Even though I don't post too often, I still read what everyone is posting. It's been quiet around here lately.

I was sick for two weeks (sore throat, cough, lost voice), felt better last week, and now am feeling sick again. :| :?

On top of that, I'm :pirate2 with God. He's said :nono2 to something and I'm  :x

On the bright side, the circus closes on May 31. :superhappy
