Coin-flipping

Who here does it? Am I the only one? Should I be ashamed?
Had to do it seven or eight times this novel because I was so indecisive--both options had advantages. Did it a couple of days ago to decide whether to put a lady in my spy thriller. (No, by the way.)
Does anyone else let the lot decide?

No, I pretty much have my stuff set; occaisonally, I think through the pluses and minuses of something.

Sometimes I get really attached to an idea but can't make it fit into the story unless I change something else.
The problem with the lady is that she'd be lots of fun, but I'd just read a spy thriller with a lady in it and I just knew she would be too much like that one.

while I do not use coin flips myself, I do not think there is anything wrong with it and say if it works for you go for it.
