Right now I'm writing a spy thriller set in Romania in WWII, right before Romania left the Axis powers and joined the Allies. Needless to say, how and why they did that is an important part of the story. I don't even remember how the idea came to me to even focus on Romania. It was very random--I just chanced upon the history and thought 'What a great idea!'
