Has anyone heard how Jess is doing? I've been checking her wall at Facebook and haven't seen anything since she went into cardiac arrest.

This is the last thing I remember seeing from the 18th.
Update on my friend Jess Capps Please lift up Jess Capps in prayer. She had a heart transplant in December and has been recovering slowly. Heart has been doing ok, but she has been having problems with kidneys. This morning she went into cardiac arrest and is now back on the respirator to help with breathing. Please keep Jessica and her family in your prayers.

okay, Sunday she went into Cardiac Arrest, by Tuesday, Jess was on the ventilator, however she was responding to all commands and they had lowered the settings to the vent to 'assist mode'. Later Tuesday, Jess's dad posted that she had been transferred from the vent to the a trach. On Wednesday, Jess's dad posted that Jess was alert and awake but very uncomfortable. Sedation has been lowered once again and we are now waiting to hear anything new.

I'm sorry for not posting and updating everyone. It's been one of THOSE weeks here in Madison City Schools.

Thanks, Ruth. The last thing I knew was that she went into cardiac arrest, and I've been checking her wall for updates.

And here I was thinking, "No news is good news". Well, I guess I was right. Keep praying, everybody!

I was just praying for Jess this morning. Thanks for the post. It's as if God just sent me a little message to let me know He's listening.

Praise God for His healing power. May He continue to be gracious to her during the rest of her post-operative stay.

Jess is back on soft foods but her feeding tube is still in. God is a mighty God and He is continuing to heal her body.

How is Jess doing now? Any further improvement? Again, I'm hoping that no news is good news.

She's improving once again, and they are talking about rehab soon. On Sunday, Jess posted that she moved her foot from the ankle (so I'm assuming it was her left foot, Amy, can you confirm this?)

Keep praying for her left arm, leg, and foot. Be also praying for her wounds to heal on up and for her kidneys to get the memo that they are supposed to be working.

Praying here too. Just realised Jess was the person who used to post from her cat on my cat's blog. Tell her my kitty sends catkisses too.
