Sorry for venting.
Seema, sorry for that assumption you would think writers would know better.I think it speaks to how real your piece is.
Holly my Shepherd's pie is very run of the mill. I don't know if you have Bisto in America but that is a key ingredient. First, you have to catch a shepherd, ha ha ha Pup.
I use ground beef crumble that into Bisto gravy add lovely mixed vegetables, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, onions cook together in a sauce pan on the cooker (oh sorry, stove) when veggies are tender and meat done put in a glass casserole and top with REAL mash potatoes pop under the grill for a nice brown that's it! I had spices to taste and a few dashes of Worcestershire Sauce to the veggies and meat, gravy mix. A proper one is made with lamb and what I have described is actually a Cottage Pie.
Becky hope kitty is on the mend. Sparrow glad you are getting some shoulder relief. Pup I hope you have some surprise sunshine on your days off. Jay, you are a pet, love. If you could have one what would you choose?
I choose Ian and now have so much more, he he he
