Hey now... I can remember watching kids. YEARS ago, when I was still young... and I remember how rough it could be, so it IS a REAL job. :P

So the adapter for my computer died, so i wasn't able to get on the last few days.

Tiara- cool that you're learning ASL. If you have the books then why not! Learning language is hard and, I think really stretches and grows a person.

Wow and after several days of being gone, that's all I can think of to say. Whelp. Cool.

I am trying to, I will learn more once I start taking classes. Don't know when that will be. But I have always wanted to learn ASL, but since Switched at Birth it had been like burning passion, or obsession to learn!

So I'm a dork. YOu know how I was all worried about keeping up with working four hours a day four days a week for the rest of the term? Well, turns out the new ones were one-time events just this week. And one of them ended up not happening anyway. My boss and I had this horribly confusing conversation before we finally realized I thought they were continuing classes and in reality they were just this week. Nothing like feeling incompetent and confusing to my boss. :P

I guess I should have realized... I mean, when has God ever given me more than I can handle?

Tiara, I don't have cable but I've finally been remembering to watch Switched at Birth online sometimes.

Hi, Kara! I wondered where you were. Welcome back.

Holly, praying for energy for you. Love the penguin and little girl pic, especially.

So you know how I've been in so much extra pain lately? I just found out that the new acid reflux med that I thought was helping me sleep can cause muscle pain as a side affect. I noticed the increase in pain right when I started it, but attributed it to other things. And now that it's been getting worse, I'm not sleeping better anyway, so I stopped the med. Hoping the pain will lessen now.

I just got an email from another illustrator interested in joining the orphan plane project. She does amazing work! Now we have more people waiting for drawings than we have stories ready. Several of us have been having health issues, so the writing of the project kinda stopped... but hopefully will get going again soon.

I watched the first few episodes of Switched at Birth, I thought it was a unique idea for the show but then I just couldnt stand the girl.. can't remember her name but the not deaf one. The deaf girl is really cute and I really liked her character, just couldn't stand the other one. Plus I feel like all of those abc 'family" shows are a little...not so family-like.

Glad to hear your work load isn't as bad as you thought Amy. and hopefully now that you've stopped the medicine the pay will go away!

Really love the puppy pictures!! Will be praying for you Holly.

She gets to be less of a jerk later. But I agree that the "family" shows tend to be "dysfunctional families sneaking around and being disrespectful to each other" shows.

Ahahaha!!! I just saw a YouTube video of a cat that signs. I didn't believe it until I saw it myself, but this cat waves its paw or taps him on the shoulder (the appropriate ways to get a deaf person's attention) and then taps its paw on its mouth for the sign for "food." It's very clearly signing. The man won't give the cat a scrap until the cat signs. It's so funny. http://youtu.be/7cE0RDoMPNA

Actually I read a funny comment once about Switch At Birth. Someone had made a comment like "How do they have different mothers if they are sisters?" and someone else said/asked "You do know the difference between Switched at birth and separated at birth right?" lol

I hope her pay doesn't go away! I know you meant "pain" instead of "pay."

Don't worry, Amy, we've all had our "dorky" moments, I'm sure, at least I do.

Okay, I admit, I watch Switched At Birth. Bay is the dark-haired girl and Daphney the redhead.

I agree ABC Family has a different view of family - of course, they probably got it right, the way many families are truly like.

Bay is her name! And you are so right ABCFamily has gotten real sleazy in their shows. Switched At Birth isn't too bad. At least not all the teens are sleeping with everyone in Middle School like some of their shows and only some of the parents are sleazes! You do have to watch all the episodes to follow those shows though. I like The Lying Game, one girl is quite obnoxious but it has suspense and drama but you have to see it from beginning.

I liked that too but then Emily got pregnant and there is a new girl coming on. I thought the down-trodden Emily made the show. But everyone on there is having sex too except the one who broke her back.
I like Pretty Little Liars but they have been dragging it out too long. Tell us already that A is Ali's twin sister or that the twin is the one who died and Ali is A.
