I just posted this on Facebook, and figured I'd update everyone here:

Surgery was successful! External pumps are out. Jess is in the ICU for recovery.

Here's the latest on Jess:

URGENT Prayers needed for our friend, Jess Capps! Prayer Warriors please answer the call to petition our Heavenly Father for His healing. We have witnessed His amazing power and miracles over the last 2 weeks and we need more! Below is a text from Jess' mom:
Dialysis and a trachial breathing tube looking pretty certain at this point. Blood pressure medications have not come down at all, also causing kidney problems and continuing to impact her left leg.
In an earlier text she also states that the right side of her heart is still weak and not functioning properly.
Please take a moment today to lift Jess and her family in prayer!

Update on Jess Capps from yesterday:
Jess Capps is doing better today after starting dialysis yesterday. She's awake and moving around and sends everyone her love. They plan to put the trach in tomorrow, due to the doctor being busy today.

From yesterday:

Update from Jess mom: Jess Capps morning is off to a good start. Her white count and bili count is down from yesterday. Dialysis is up and running after having an adjustment of new tubing. I have named the dialysis machine Bessie as she has 3 large bags and 1 small bag hanging from the rear of the black/white machine somewhat resembling cow udders. Jess continues to improve on the respirator, which is on spontaneous assist mode. She is slowly being weaned from that machine. Praising God for each and every blessing. Continuing to claim complete healing

Has anyone heard anything new about Jess? The last I've heard from her family was about her dialysis machine named Bessie.

update on Jess from her father today on facebook: Jess is having a much better day today and we have some great test results. Her billirubin (liver count) was 27 (first time below 30). Her echo showed an ejection fraction of 65 which is super, and the biopsy was zero (no rejection). We thank God and praise his name.

Update from Jess's Mom:
Trying out the trache collar. This means that Jess is doing ALL the breathing ON HER OWN. She has been on the collar the last 25 minutes and is still doing great. Respiratory may switch back and forth to let Jess "rest" over the next few days. Next step will be to let Jess sit in a Bed/chair combo. Jess has also started working with Amelia (physical therapy) to stretch and strengthen muscles her muscles.
We give God all the glory. I thank Him for this journey with Jess Capps. I never imagined the blessings and miracles He would reveal to me.

An update from Jess' husband,Clay:
Jess's heart is functioning at a normal rate! She is still on dialysis and probably will be for a while, but the doctors believe she will probably regain kidney function eventually. She is spending some time every day off the ventilator, but isn't ready to be off permanently yet. Once she is completely off the ventilator and a few IVs she can go to the regular floor out of ICU, (may take a while yet) and from there, home. She still has a long way to go but we pray the rest of her recovery will be as quick and easy as everything up to now has been long and difficult.
