Is there a recommended formatting for the entries?
I'm presuming 1" margins, double-spaced, no space between paragraphs, indenting first line of new paragraphs, times new roman 12pt font-- that kind of thing.
Let me know if I'm way off there, otherwise I'll stick with that.
Thanks!!

Re: formtatting Q
spell check that'd be a forMATting Q... sheesh.
I promise, I'll be thorough on the details in my entry.

Re: formtatting Q
Lynn, as long as it's in a Word document, I'm fine with however it arrives.
We're very easy going when it comes to Page Turner entries, but we actually prefer them to be single spaced rather than double, with a double space between paragraphs. That's because we aren't actually making edit notes or comments in the actual document.
Even so, it's not a big deal.
Love, Deb

Great Thanks Deb!
I didn't figure it was very strict but it makes a difference as to how many pages a first chapter is if it's single or double-spaced. (Helps me know if my chapter is short or long, LOL.)
Thanks.

Re: formtatting Q
Lynn's point about chapter one submissions length possibly being too short is a good question. My first chapter is 4 1/2 pages double spaced. Is it too short? (Sorry for being a pest, Deb. Can you tell I'm working on polishing my submission?

Re: formtatting Q
Hi Johnna. In the rules, we say if a first chapter is very short (up to four pages), then a second chapter can be submitted. You would definitely be okay to submit a second chapter.

Rather off topic here, but I notice you said "we" like.... Are you back to having a team of judges instead of just you, Deb?

Amy, I do the initial selection, then get input for the final winners. That's been the way for a while.
