Another Big Blessing for 500 Members

Postby Deb Porter » Tue Oct 03, 2006 6:19 am

This is one of the latest blessing for 500 Members.

If you have a manuscript and want to sell it as an e-book, then this is the ideal way to go about it. Although in its very early days, this is going to be a big winner for authors--particularly for 500 members.

One of the benefits for 500 members is that you can submit up to 5 e-books without any ongoing monthly fee. All sales of your books will go directly into your PayPal account. FaithWriters won't take a cent.

Now that's something to be excited about!

Here's the link with the information:

The one proviso is that you must have your work edited or thoroughly proofread before submitting. I know that this probably sounds as though I'm pushing my own service, but seriously, it is vital that you make sure you have this done. With our book review section we see many self-published book. The thing that prevents many from being excellent is the lack of editing. If a book is not really polished well, then it will reflect poorly on both the author and on the e-book store generally.

E-Book

Postby muttibear » Thu Jul 02, 2009 8:47 am

Hi! I am new to Faithwriters and just joined 500. I have been trying to get some info about how to format an e-book. I understand it has to be a pdf...but does that mean, in Word, to simply save it as pdf or does convert it to pdf mean something else?
I am also curious about how many pages is normal? (for poetry) It is unclear how many pages are in an e-book. And what about pricing? Is there a guideline for this? I love this option and want to use it. I would appreciate any tips and suggestions. I have looked over all the online faqs.
Thanks and God Bless!

Wow. How did I miss this part of the forum!

That might come in good stead when I finish my novel.

As far as formatting, I don't know how to do it in Word, but there's OpenOffice that has the feature of "Save as PDF" that's as simple to use as a push of a button once you have everything laid out the way you want.
