Come And Worship

Postby plantedbystreams » Sun Apr 03, 2011 9:43 pm

Oh praise Him! Praise Him! Let everything that has breathe praise the Lord!

He is the God who formed the galaxies and hung the stars.

He is the God who turns our darkness into light, our sorrow into dancing and our deserts into rivers of life.

He is the God who lifts our heads when we are bowed down and wipes away our tears when our heart breaks and revives our spirits when we are weary and heavy laden.

He is the God who walks with us through the valleys of the shadow of death and will never, not even for a moment, leave us or forsake us.

He is the God who parted the seas and calmed the storm and silenced the demons.

He is the God who brought the Israelites out of captivity and into the land of milk and honey and kept every one of His promises to an unfaithful people.

He is the God who rules the oceans and heavens and animals and nations and kings.

He is the God who captures and transforms hearts and ransomed sinners with His own blood.

He is the God who changes lives.

He is the God who created laughter and sunsets and flowers and butterflies and adventures and spiderwebs and songs.

He is the God who knits babies together in their mother’s womb and wrote down all the days ordained for us before one of them came to be.

He is the God who is close to the contrite and near to the brokenhearted.

He is the God who healed the blind man and the cripple and the leper and the demon-possessed boy and the man with palsy and the woman who had suffered for twelve years from a bleeding condition and had seen many doctors who could find no cure.

He is the God who formed man out of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.

He is the God who met the adulterous woman at the well and offered her Eternal Life that she might never be thirsty again.

He is the God who hates evil and loves righteousness and has exalted above all things His name and His word.

He is the God who is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

He is the God who hears our sighs and knows our thoughts and answers our prayers.

He is the God who is for us.

He is the God who sees the future, knows the plans He has for us, does everything in wisdom, love and righteousness, and is working all things together for the good of those who love Him.

He is the God we call Savior, Creator, Redeemer, Healer, Provider, Refuge, Comforter, Helper, Lord, Father and Friend.

He is the God who knelt and washed His disciples feet.

He is the God who laid down His life for us. While we were yet sinners, He died for us. …No greater love has anyone than this.

Oh…Sing to the Lord a new song! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name! Come before him and worship in the splendor of holiness! Tremble before him, all the earth! Adore Him and love Him with all your heart and soul and mind and strength. He is yours. You are His. Rejoice in the Lord always! Again, I say: Rejoice!

……May we ever sing His praise.
