Congratulations, Ruth! I hadn't seen yours yet until I saw the results on this thread, so I went back and read it. Good poem!
My first thought was that the sick man is George III, who lost the thirteen colonies and later became mentally ill. But I realized that this was before Britain reached the peak of its power, so I'm wondering if I'm off.

Thanks Shann for alerting me to the Ranking's List. This is somewhat of a watershed moment for me. I feel highly blessed and quite encouraged to have "ranked" in this level. I appreciate great writing, and am so concious of how much of a challenge that is for me hanging out among the greats in Level 4. A special shout out to Shanta.. This is her time to move up a little higher.

No it isn't George III, it isn't actually a person, but an Empire. If it helps any, it is an empire that dissolved after World War 1.
