Welcome to Noonday Devotion

What a privilege it is to share with you once again. I am absolutely honoured to share with my brothers and sisters, what God has laid on my heart.

All I ask, is that you not only read these devotions, but share them with your friends and church contacts. I have also placed links at the bottom of these devotions, which if you click them, will encourage and increase your faith

2 Corinthians 7

1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.


So what are the promises of God for?

Basically they are for the same reason. They are there so we can put them into action.

These promises are not dead words, they are YES AND AMEN.

In the final verses of 2 Corinthians 6, we have these precious promises:

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

We have to cleanse ourselves from all the badness of the world, because we are different.

We are children of the ONLY TRUE GOD. Many of you are parents and how many of you would find it acceptable if your children came into your presence, with dirty faces and hands? So do you think God welcomes sin into His presence.. NO he will not tolerate it believer!

Likewise as children of the ONLY TRUE GOD, we must cleanse ourselves at the foot of the cross by confessing our sin. We have the promise of forgiveness, but it is not until we put it into action, does it become effective. We may believe that God will forgive us, but until we ask for forgiveness, that promise does not become effective in our lives.

Have you activated God's promises in your life believer ?


What a wonderful promise in verse 18.. God will be a Father to us, but this depends on us obeying the command of verse 17.

When God commands us to do something.. our answer must be.. YES LORD AND AMEN.

Meaning I will go and I agree with what you say to me. Whatever God says.. JUST DO IT

I SIT AWHILE CONTEMPLATING YOUR BEAUTY O LORD
THE WIND PLAYING GENTLY, PLAYFULLY WITH MY SHAWL
ENHANCING THE SHEEN OF MANY COLOURS CAUGHT BY THE EVENING SUN.

I LOOK UP AND SEE YOUR MAJESTY IN THE SKIES O CREATOR
THE CLOUDS DELICATE TAPESTRIES OF WHITE FEATHERY PAINT STROKES

LADIES IN THEIR BLACK WALK WITH HEADS DOWN
OBLIVIOUS TO THE BEAUTY THAT SURROUNDS THEM
THAT YOUR MAJESTY HAS UNFOLDED FREELY FOR ALL TO GAZE UPON

WILL THEY EVER BE FREED FROM THE BONDAGE OF THIS DARKNESS
OF THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF YOU ALMIGHTY GOD INTO THE KNOWLEDGE AND HOPE
OF THE GLORIOUS PROMISES THEY CAN RECEIVE?

ONLY YOU O MAJESTY CAN KNOW AND PURPOSE THIS BECAUSE YOU
PUT INTO PLACE THE UNIVERSE.
YOU PROVIDE OUR EVERY NEED
THE COMFORT OF YOUR PRESENCE IS EVERYWHERE

TO THOSE WHO FIND IT IT IS LIKE HEAVEN ON EARTH
IT IS A WARM BLANKET AGAINST THE HARSH WORLD
IT IS PEACE AGAINST THE EVER CHANGING FICKLENESS OF MAN
IT IS OUR SURVIVAL UNTIL WE LEAVE FOR ETERNITY

HERE I SIT ON THE SOFT GREEN GRASS
ANYTHING IS MADE POSSIBLE WITH YOU O LORD
EVEN IN A DESERT LAND OF SAND AND DUST AND DRY EARTH
YOU MAKE A HAVEN WHERE THE WORLD DISTANCES ITSELF FOR A LITTLE WHILE

THE AROMA OF FOOD WAFTS OVER ME AS THEY PREPARE FOR A CELEBRATION TONIGHT
WE, DWELLING IN YOU O LORD CAN CELEBRATE THROUGH THE FOOD OF YOUR WORD
THAT KEEPS US CONSTANTLY FILLED. OUR HUNGER IS ASSUAGED AS WE READ, DWELL
REST IN AND DRINK IN YOUR LIFE GIVING SPIRIT FILLED WORDS.

NOW YOUR MAJESTIC DAY IS WANING, THE SHADOWS OF THE TREES CLEARLY ETCHED
I CAPTURE YOUR SUN IN ITS BEAUTY THROUGH THE EYE OF THE LENS
PERMANENT AS IS YOUR LOVE FOR US.

THE SKY CONTINUES TO SHOW IT'S BEAUTY WHEN THE SUN HAS GONE TO REST
FOR ANOTHER DAY
THE PINKS, THE BLUES, THE GOLDS ARE A FITTING FINALE TO ANOTHER PERFECT DAY
SPENT IN THE PRESENCE OF YOU O LORD

RELUCTANTLY I LEAVE THESE SACRED MOMENTS WITH YOU O LORD
THE WORLD IS PULLING ME IN ONCE MORE
THANK YOU FATHER FOR ANOTHER TIME OF INTIMACY WITH YOU
I KNOW THERE WILL BE MANY MORE.

AMEN!
