How are we doing?

Post by Laurie »

Since we no longer have the thermometer to tell us (at least we didn't last I checked), I was wondering how we're doing with memberships now that the new membership system has been in place for a while.

Also, it seems that Glenn's ebook was free to access for platinum members at one time. Was that only temporary? I tried getting into it the other day and couldn't. If it was just temporary, no complaints. If not, I'll e-mail Scott, but I don't want to bother him unnecessarily.

Laurie, I don't know exactly, but at the conference Scott did tell me that the new levels of membership helped halt what was becoming a FaithWriters disaster. FW isn't exactly flush with finances, but it isn't plummeting either. The timing was exactly right for the change.

With Glenn's book, as far as I'm aware that is still available for platinum members. Not near my computer at the moment (on my phone) so can't check for you.

Thanks, Deb. I assumed the change must have helped since I hadn't heard any further news of a pending crisis, but wondered how healthy we were. Sounds like we could still use more paid memberships. I know it's hard in this economy. I'll have to decide myself once Jan. rolls around. I hope to keep my platinum membership, but I've taken a huge financial hit this year.

Any other platinum members out there able to access Glenn's ebook?

Laurie, I just checked. The book is definitely still available for Platinum members. Log on to FaithWriters, and then when your account opens, go to the Platinum member page here:

http://www.faithwriters.com/myaccount/F ... -index.php

(It's the box near the top of the page of your account).

When that page opens, scroll down until you see the "Ultimate Writing Guide" option. (It's almost at the bottom of the list of benefits, on the right hand side.)

Click on that, and a PDF will open.

Love, Deb

I must have been trying to access it from a different page or something. Thanks for your help. :)
