There is great pride in our house at the accomplishment of our son Daniel.
Not only is he making great strides in his English, he has become highly adept in his grasp of Portuguese. Just last weekend he took part in one of our training seminars here in Mozambique, giving a 20 minute talk entirely in Portuguese on the importance of children's ministry. Click hereto watch a 60 second clip of the young man in action.

Wow, I am thrilled to be in 2nd place among such wonderful company. I'm a beginner and loving all the constructive and positive comments. Thank you so much!!
My story was about an angel who comes to the aid of a threatened woman. Hebrews 13:2 says "don't forget to welcome strangers. By doing that, some people have welcomed angels without knowing it." NIV REader's version. I often wonder how many times I have brushed off a stranger or an acquaintance because of their apparent insignificance, or the way they look, or the color of their skin. I'm pretty sure that this verse is telling me that I need to be hospitable and practice kindness....angels really DO breathe! and they are among us!

Whoohoo so many great writers recognized!
Special shout out to Daniel, congrats! Sounds like an accomplished young man.
Yay Rachel! How many EC's now girl??? I've lost count!
Forgotten is a story I knew I had to write whether I entered it or not. I've visited nursing homes for 15 years, first with family, then 4-H and now with my church. I am always blessed beyond words, yet it's also the saddest exprience you can have. I was there once just as a woman passed away. No family was there. And then there are those who can't speak, yet say so much with their heart.
Wow.
If anyone has a feather, you're welcome to knock me over with it....
Only a few more topics left in this quarter, let's give it our all!

Congratulations, all! Great writing...
And thanks, judges. #10, I'll gladly take. An EC! My first and perhaps only, but I couldn't be more thrilled. An honor in this group
