Finding My Way Around

Postby Psalm1 » Thu Mar 18, 2010 11:00 pm

I think I'm too computer illeterate to be here. HELP. I am really trying to find my way around the website. Sometimes I don't know where to "click enter" or "delete" All the other "kids on the block" seem to know what they are doing. I am so scared I'm gonna mess up!

Emily, I don't think you can "mess up"! Click on the yellow sticky notes to see the most recent posts since the last time you read. The only thing you may need to delete would be your forum private message.

You will be fine, and this is good practice to become more computer literate. :)

Hi Emily. Just have fun and explore. As I tell my near 80 year old mother, you can't blow anything up on your computer. Scott (the owner of FaithWriters) is all about people exploring and discovering things.

If you aren't sure about something on the actual FaithWriters site, just ask. There's always someone here to point you in the right direction.

If you have some questions about the message boards, you can do the same thing or just check out the FAQ's forum at the bottom of the boards:

http://www.faithwriters.com/Boards/phpB ... m.php?f=35

When people ask questions about FaithWriters or the message boards, it quite often leads us to create a new FAQ's to help others. Also, when people do ask a question (and there are no dumb questions), it's amazing how many others admit they had been wondering the same thing.

Make yourself at home.

Dear Emily, fear not. We wont leave you stranded. If you ever have a question, just ask. And believe me, we have had some lulus on here that would bring tears of laughter. Site relate, writing related, even computer related, we have help for most anyone.

Personality wise questions can be the funnest, but we will do our utmost to help you feel at home

Thank you Deb, Ms Barbie, and the Jesus Puppy for the great words of encouragement. I am armed and ready!!! Just look out. Say, I received an OK from the deafmissions to submit some devotionals for them. Pam Ford Davis turned me on to them; I submitted a sample and received an invitation to write. Can I tell you how happy this makes this old heart...I know you all KNOW. I'm gonna give it my very best shot...This one's for Jesus. :D

Deaf-Missions...? Have you met Amy/Sparrow yet? She is studying to be an ASL interpreter.
