Eureka-Arcata? that is still somewhat north, at the top end of the Redwood Forest. Sacramento is south of the big trees.
Where are you two headed to the coast on the way down? You'll have to let me know if you go through Bandon, I will pay for lunch.
We will take you up on that!
We plan to cut back over to I-5 to stay in Medford and see Crater Lake. Was planning to take Hwy 42 there (if it's open? should be by April, right?) so that would work perfectly.
We will be staying in Newport the night before, so how many hours of driving is that? May not make it for lunch, but maybe a late-afternoon snack or early dinner, whatever you want to call it.
42 cuts over to Roseburg from Coosbay, but you can catch 42s in Bandon and get back to it, then on to I-5. Never heard of 42 being closed. Anyway, Reedsport is only a couple hours from Bandon so lunch might still be a go.
I don't know how to resize pics and I "think" maybe this takes up too much space on this site? Replys welcome!
Hey you Washingtonians AND Oregonites.....You are right....we need to change this to cover the entire west coast....have any ideas for renaming this post? I had originally thought about "Northern Lights" Couch Corner and as you can see from the pic...am captivated by the Aurora Borealis.
BTW....I have friends and family in Oregon and Washington, have been to both states myself and love it up there! Truly gorgeous.
Also hope you two (Pup & violin4jesus) are able to hook up! How fun!!!!
I vote for something cool like Coastal Couch Corner or Westward Ho! or something along those lines. Northern Lights is cool, but some Californians might not realize it includes them.
See my ticker below for time remaining....at this point I have 7 weeks left! The invitations should arrive any day now, and I'll try to post a picture (minus the exact location) so y'all can feel included.
Oh hey Leah....love them both!
What about Coastal Couch Corner - Westward Ho
And then everyone would know it's the grrrrrrrrrrrreat West Coast
You are right about the Northern Lights thing....it most definitely signifies.
NORTH and I don't want any of our commrades over here feeling left out
What ya think THIS time Seema?
How about Pacific Coast Rest-Stop?
You better do more than one, you know how we all love pictures. A picture is worth a 1000 words and we got Novel writers here putting out 80,000+ words. So, 80 picture of the wedding... at least.
Ooh and Holly, I love that picture. Way cool.
I like this one.
Not feeling it. Sorry.
OK....it sounds unanimous. Did I understand you right Seema...NOT feeling the Coastal Coast Couch Corner and yes to the Pacific Coast Rest-Stop? Want to be sure BEFORE I change it
btw Pup.....you a trucker?!
Afterthought.....If I got it right Seema and you like the Pacific Coast one best....I am SO cool with it too.....I am just j a z z e d that we can all hook up and live close enough to maybe seeing each other at some point in time...God Willing!
Oh....another afterthought Do all writer's possess these bouts of "afterthoughts" ? or is it just an indication about my future endeavors as a writer LOL
After thought is a common thing in most peoples, not just writers. It is, me thinks, a simptom close to normallity and therefore should not be looked into closely.
I don't drive, not even a car. I walk everywhere I go, unless I am going to another country, then I fly... and boooy do my arms get tired.
