Good morning world.

I have been trying to get the store where I work to get WiFi, but they don't seem to think enough businessmen come by for lunch at the deli. Go figure. :roll:

What about other people? Businessmen aren't the only ones who use WiFi. Tell them they're missing a significant market--if word gets around that they offer WiFi, they might get more customers in. More customers=more business=more money. Win-win.

A lot of businesses are putting in WiFi as so many people now have phones and hand held devices which are internet ready.

We had rain last week and the other night; it will be sunny for Christmas, then after that, the rains will return. Might be a wet New Year's--those poor folks in the Rose Parade, as well as watching it there on the street!

I once read an account of one Rose Parade--ironically, the theme was "Under The Sea",-- and it POURED! It occurred in the 1930s, and the marching girls wore flimsy mermaid costumes, and got soaked. The Rose Queen and her court had to choose between hiding their finery under oilskins and staying dry, or showing off their gowns and tiaras and getting soaked. I think they chose the former. Aside from that, it usually doesn't rain much when it does rain on the Rose Parade.

Hi. and a very grouchy Baaaah Humbug to you all. :tongue

I went off and forgot to take my music to work with me last night. After 8+ hours listening to musak Christmas songs I think I have a few songs rewritten. Not only the "Dry Christmas" but "Sloppy the Mud-Man" and "Bob the brown-nose raindeer". I can't tell you how many times I heard that mexican song... you know.... "Flees on a dog" :roll:

Last night, my landlord and landlady took me and one of my roomies out to see the Christmas lights. They took pictures of us and the lights, first at a place not too far from us, then we went over to TBN, trying to get in to see their light display, but apparently, though we got there at 9:50 p.m., they were just closing. What we could see was amazing. Then we went into Fountain Valley, whee there was a street of lighted displays. One place had a mini ski lift, with dolls of kids throwing snowballs, skiing off the roof, and one was stuck upside down in a snow drift with legs kicking!We plan on going again later, especially to see the display at TBN. That's Trinity Broadcasting Network, not Turner.
